. LASER TECHNOLOGY, INC. is the innovator and pioneer of reflectorless distance

measurement and the leading manufacturer of pulse-laser products and mapping
systems. Introducing the Criterion RD1000, the first patented electronic BAF-
scope/dendrometer that displays direct read-outs of heights, diameters and BAF values
for IN/OUT determinations. The illuminated and adjustable bar scales is what makes
this product so unique! The TruPulse series, a low-cost professional rangefinder that
measures horizontal, vertical and slope distance as well as height...and now azimuth! It
provides crystal-clear optics and superior performance with +/-1 ft. (30 cm) distance
accuracy and +/- 1 degree azimuth accuracy. Visit: http://www.lasertech.com/ for
more info!

‘DANISH TEXT’ RAISES FURORE - According to The Guardian, developing countries

“react furiously” after a draft text allegedly written by the UN conference’s host country
was leaked Tuesday. - For more than a week a rumour has circulated that Denmark,
host of the ongoing UN conference on climate change, has drawn up a compromise
text. On the afternoon of the conference’s second day, The Guardian published what it
claimed to be this text. The British newspaper also claims to have read “a confidential
analysis of the text by developing countries” which “shows deep unease”. See the text

GOVERNMENTS ABOUT COMPLACENCY OVER ENERGY POLICIES - Speaking as
an official participant at the Powering towards 2020 Conference in London, Carbon
Credited Farming Plc’s (CCF) Managing Director, Gregg Fryett, reprimanded central
and local governments for “Sleepwalking into a cold, dark future where power shortages
are commonplace and black-outs the order of the day”.

recently released a report based on four international dialogues on REDD. The
dialogues engaged nearly 100 leaders from forest stakeholder groups across the
business, environmental, scientific, Indigenous Peoples’ and forest-based communities
spectrums between April and September 2009. The press release, executive summary

. U.S. FOREST SERVICE TO ADD $40 MILLION IN BARK BEETLE FIGHTING

FUND - Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced the U.S. Forest Service will
commit an additional $40 million to address public safety concerns and forest health
needs arising from the millions of acres of dead and dying trees from bark beetle
infestations in the West. Vilsack made the announcement on a conference call with

. TREE HARVESTER OFFERS TO SAVE INDONESIAN FOREST - Reducing
Emissions From Deforestation and Forest Degradation, or REDD, is expected to be part
of a new climate treaty. Unlike the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, a new treaty is expected to
tackle deforestation, which alone accounts for 20 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas
emissions. As outlined in the following article, halting deforestation in tropical forest
nations like Indonesia and Brazil, the world’s fourth biggest emitter, is considered crucial
to reining in global warming.
