All flight details including arrival time, flight numbers, airline and point of origin have to be advised prior to arrival in order for EC to provide airport transfers. Failure to notify the airport transfer number of flight delays/cancellations will result in assessment of fees. Students who have booked airport transfer and have a change of flight on their trip to Canada should call the school during office hours (Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 local time) or the airport transfer cell telephone after hours. The driver will meet students outside of the arrivals gate holding a sign with the student's name as well as the EC logo. Students who have not booked airport transfer should contact their homestay or residence directly if their flight is delayed. There are a variety of inexpensive and reliable alternatives to get from the airport to the student's destination. These options are not arranged by the school. They should bring the following to school with them on the first day: passport health insurance policy Letter of Acceptance Study Permit if required funds for payment of any outstanding fees proof of health insurance (for the entire length of programme) 09:00 Welcome Talk 09:15 Academic Information Session 09:45 Placement Test 12:00 Walking Tour 14:10 24/30 students start lessons On their first day all students will receive a welcome pack,this will contain: student information guide homestay information a map of the transit system for the city a copy of the activity and excursion calendar Once students arrive at the school, they are evaluated so that we can place them in the appropriate level. On first day, students have the evaluation, registration, and information session about school services, as well as a guided walking tour of the school surroundings. It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete all the steps of registration on the first day. In the months of July through September, it may take longer. 24 Lessons and 30 Lessons students begin their classes as of 13:30 on the first day. 20 Lessons students begin their classes at 09:00 on the next day.
