Therapeutic use/Mechanism in action:

Human body is made up of about 3.5g of iron and only 10% of consumed iron is absorbed by the
body. 60-70% is present in the blood. The recommended dietary allowance for iron in healthy
adults is 10milligrams per day for men and 15 milligrams per day for premenopausal women.
15% of the bodys iron is stored for future needs and mobilized when dietary intake is
inadequate.

The remainder is stored in body tissues to facilitate body functions. Iron is stored as hemoglobin.
Anaemia is a condition characterized by low levels of hemoglobin/an increased need for iron /
deficient intake of iron/excessive loss of iron. Proheme prevents the loss of cellular nutrients and
promotes their absorption from gastro intestinal tract, corrects unknown causes of anemia,
provides essential amino acids, iron, calcium vitamin C and B and B12. The ingredients in
Proheme increase the bioavailability of essential drugs and trace elements, ensuring faster
results.

Indications : Anemia, General Weakness

Dosage and administration:

Adults : Taken orally and patients can have 2-3 capsules a day. Leafy
vegetables and fiber-rich vegetable diet is advised. Oily food and
tamarind based food should be completely avoided.

Paediatric Use : Not for infants and children.

Geriatric Use : As directed by the Physician

Pregnant women and nursing mothers/cancer patients:

Should use it strictly as directed by the physician

Patients receiving complementary or alternative medicine:

Proheme is compatible with other forms of treatment and has registered no adverse side effects.

Initial Dosage:

2 or 3 capsules a day/ 1-0-1 as directed by the physician after food and never on an empty
stomach.

It is also the recommended starting dosage.

Maintenance Dosage : 2 capsules twice a day

Maximum Dosage : 2 capsules twice a day
