An Mian :
Location: Midpoint between Yi Feng (SJ 17) and Feng Chi (GB
20) Indication:Insomina, vertigo, headache, palpitation, mental
disorders. Perpendicular 0.5 - 0.8
2. Ba Fent :
Location: on the dorsum of the foot, in the depressions on the
webs between toes, proximal to the margins of the webs, at the
junction of the red and white skin, eight points in all. Indication:
Beriberi, Toe pain, redness and swelling of the dorsum of the
foot. Oblique 0.5 - 0.8
3. Ba XIe :
On the dorsum of the hand, at the junction of the white and red
skin of the hand webs, eight in all, making a loose fist to locate
the points. Indication: Excessive heat, finger numbness, spasm
and contracture of the fingers, redness and swelling of the
dorsum of the hand. Oblique 0.3 - 0.5, or prick to bleed, moxa is
applicable.
4. Bai Chong Wo :
Location: 1 cun above Xue Hai (Sp 10) Indication: Rubella,
eczema, gastgro-intestinal parasitic diseases. Perpendicular 1.0 -
1.2, moxa is applicable.
5. Bai Lao :
Location: 2 cun above Da Zhui (Du 14), 1 cun lateral to midline.
(3 cun below hair line) Indication: Scrofula, cough, asthma,
whopping cough, neck rigidity. Perpendicular 0.3 - 0.5, moxa is
applicable.
6. Bi Tong :
Location: At the highest point of the nasolabial groove.
Indication: Rhinitis, nasal obstruction, nasal boils.
Subcutaneous 0.3 - 0.5 (toward the nose bridge or the other side
of the temple)

7. Bi Zhong :
Location: On the lateral aspect of the forearm, midway between
the transverse wrist crease and elbow crease, between the radius
and the ulna. Indication: Paralysis, spasm and contracture of the
upper extremities, pain of the forearm. Perpendicular 1.0 - 1.2,
moxa is applicable.
8. Dan Nang Xue :
Location: The tender spot 1-2 cun directly below Yang Liang
Quan (GB 34) Indication: Acute and chronic cholecystits.
Perpendicular 0.8 - 1.2, moxa is applicable
9. Ding Chuan :
Location: 0.5 Cun lateral to Da Zhui (Du 14) Indication: Asthma,
cough, neck rigidity, pain in the shoulder and back, rubella.
Perpendicular 0.5 - 0.8, moxa is applicable.
10. Er Bai :
Location: On the metacarpal aspect of the forearm, 4 cun above
the transverse wrist crease, on both sides of the tendon of M.
flexor carpi radialis, two points on one hand. Indication:
Hemorrhoids, prolapse of the rectum. Perpendicular 0.5 - 1.0,
moxa is applicable.
11. Er Jian :
Location: Fold the auricle; the point is at the apex of the auricle.
indication: Redness, swelling and pain of the eyes, febrile
disease, nebula. Perpendicular 0.1 - 0,2, or prick to bleed, moxa
is applicable
12. He Ding :
Location: In the depression of the midpoint of the superior
patellar border. Indication: Knee pain, weakness of the foot and
leg, paralysis. Perpendicular 0.3 - 0.5, moxa is applicable.
13. Hua Tuo Jia Ji :
Location: A group of 34 points on both sides of the spinal
column, 0.5 cun lateral to the lower border of each spinous
process from the first thoracic vertebra to the fifth lumbar
vertebra (T1 - L5) Indication: Diseases in the upper limbs (T1 -
T3), Chest region (T1 - T8), abdominal region (T6 - L5), Lower
limbs (L1 - L5). Perpendicular 0.5 - 1.0 in the cervical and chest
region, 1.0 - 1.5 in the lumbar region, moxa is applicable.
14. Huan Zhong : Location: Midway between Huan Tiao (GB
30) and Yao Shu (Du 2) Indication: Lumbar pain, thigh pain.
Perpendicular 1.5 - 2.0, moxa is applicable
15. Jia Cheng Jiang:
Location: 1 cun lateral to Chen Jiang (Ren 24) Indication: Pain
in the face, deviation of the eyes and mouth, spasm of facial
muscle. Oblique 0.5 - 1.0
16. Jian Qian :
Location: Midway between the end of the anterior axillary fold
and Jian Yu (LI 15) Indication: Pain in the shoulder and arm,
paralysis of the upper extremities. Perpendicular 0.8 - 1.2, moxa
is applicable.
17. Jin Jin Yu Ye :
Location: On the veins of both sides of the frenulum of the
tongue, Jin Jin is on the left, Yu Ye, on the right Indication:
Swelling of the tongue, vomiting, aphasia with stiffness of
tongue. Prick to bleed.
18. Lan Wei Xue :
Location: The tender spot about 2 cun below Zu San Li ( St 36)
Indication: Acute and chronic appendicitis, indigestion,
paralysis of the lower extremities. Perpendicular 1.0 - 1.2
19. Luo Zhen :
Location: On the dorsum of the hand, between the second and
third metacarpal bones, about 0.5 cun posterior to MCP joint.
Indication: Sore neck, pain in the shoulder and arm.
Perpendicular 0.5 - 0.8
20. Pi Gen :
Location: 3.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous
process of the first lumbar vertebra (L1)
Indication:Hepatosplenomegaly, lumbar pain. Perpendicular 0.5
- 0.8, moxa is applicable
21. Qian Zheng :
Location: 0.5 - 1.0 cun anterior to the auricular lobe Indication:
Deviation of the eyes and mouth, ulceration on tongue and
mouth. Oblique 0.5 - 1.0
22. Qiu Huo :
Location: At the junction of the lateral 1/4 and the medial 3/4 of
the infraorbital margin. Indication: Eye diseases. Perpendicular
0.5 - 1.2
23. Shang Lian Quan :
Location: 1 Cun below the midpoint of the lower jaw, in the
depression between the hyoid bone and the lower border of the
jaw indication: Alalia, salivation with stiff tongue, sore throat,
difficulty in swallowing, loss of vice. Oblique 0.8 - 1.2 toward
tongue root.
24. Shi Qi Zhui Xia :
Location: Below the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra
(L5) Indication: (Ashi Point) Lumbar pain, thigh pain, paralysis
of the lower extremities, irregular menstruation, dysmennorrhea.
Perpendicular 0.8 - 1.2, moxa is applicable.
25. Shi Xuan :
Location: On the tips of the ten fingers, about 0.1 cun distal to
the nails. (P9 is the only point on the tip of the finger for all the
channels) Indication: Apoplexy, coma, epilepsy, high fever,
acute tonsilitis, infantile convulsion, numbness of the finger tips.
Superficial 0.1 - 0.2, or prick to bleed.
26. Si Feng :
Location: On the palmar surface, in the midpoint of the
transverse creases of the PIP joints of the index, middle, ring and
little fingers. Indication: Malnutrition and indigestion syndrome
in children, whooping cough. Prick to bleed, or squeeze out a
small amount of yellowish fluid locally.
27. Si Shen Cong :
Location: A group of 4 points at the vertex, 1 cun respectively
posterior, anterior and lateral to Bai Hui (Du 20). Indication:
Headache, vertigo, insomnia, poor memory, epilepsy.
Subcutaneous 0.5 - 1.0, moxa is applicable.
28. Tai Yang :
Location: In the depression about one finger breadth posterior to
the midpoint between the lateral end of the eyebrow and the outer
canthus. Indication: Headache, eye diseases, deviation of the
eyes and mouth. Perpendicular 0.3 - 0.5 or prick to bleed
29. Ti Tuo Xue :
Location: 4 cun lateral to Guan Yuan (Ren 4) Indication:
Prolapsed uterus, pain the lower abdomen, hernia. Perpendicular
0.8 - 1.2, moxa is applicable.
30. Wei Wan Xia Shou :
Location: 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous
process of the eighth thoracic vertebra (T8) Indication: Diabetes,
vomiting, abdominal pain, pain in the chest and hypochondriac
region. Oblique 0.5 - 0.7, moxa is applicable.
31. Xi Yan :
Location: A pair of points in the two depressions, medial and
lateral t the patellar ligament, locating the point with the knee
flexed. Lateral Xian overlaps with Du Bi (St 35) Indication: Knee
pain, weakness of the lower extremities. Perpendicular 0.5 - 1.0,
moxa is applicable.
32. Yao Qi :
Location: 2 cun directly above the tip of the coccyx. Indication:
Epilepsy, headache, insomnia, constipation. Subcutaneous
upward 1.0 - 2.0, moxa is applicable.
33. Yao Tong Xue :
Location: On the dorsum of the hand, midway between the
transverse wrist crease and MCP joint, between the second and
third MC bones, and between the fourth and fifth MC bones, four
points in all on both hands. Indication: Acute lumbar sprain.
Oblique 0.5 - 1.0, toward the center of metacarpus from both
sides.
34. Yao Yan :
Location: In the depression 3.5 - 4.0 cun lateral to the lower
border of L4. Indication: Lumbar Pain, frequent urination,
irregular menstruation. Perpendicular 0.8 - 1.2, moxa is
applicable
35. Yi Ming :
Location: 1 Cun posterior to Yi Feng (SJ 17) Indication: Eye
diseases, tinnitus, insomnia. Perpendicular 0.5 - 0.8
36. Yin Tang :
Location: Midway between the medial ends of the two eyebrows.
Indication: Headache, head heaviness, epistaxis, rhinorrhea,
infantile convulsion, frontal headache, insomnia Subcutaneous
0.3 - 0.5, moxa is applicable
37. Yu Yao :
location: At the midpoint of the eyebrow, directly above the pupil.
Indication: Pain in the supraorbital region, twitching of the
eyelids, ptosis, cloudiness of the cornea, redness, swelling and
pain of the eyes. Subcutaneous 0.3 - 0.5
38. Zhong Kui :
Location: On the midpoint of the PIP joint of the middle finger at
dorsum aspect. Indication: Nausea, vomiting, hiccup. Moxa is
applied with 3 cones (Moxa only)
39. Zhong Quan :
Location: On the dorsal crease of the wrist, in the depression on
the radial side of the tendon of common extensor muscle of
fingers between Yang Xi (LI 5) and Yang Chi (SJ 4). Indication:
Stuffy chest, gastric pain, spitting of blood. Perpendicular 0.3 -
0.5, moxa is applicable.
40. Zhou Jian :
Location: On the tip of the ulnar olecranon when the elbow is
flexed. Indication: Scrofula. Moxa is applied with seven to
fourteen cones.
41. Zi Gong Xue :
Location: 3 cun lateral to Zhong Ji (Ren 3) Indication:Prolapse
of the uterus, irregular menstruation. Perpendicular 0.8 - 1.2,
moxa is applicable.
