TSC Meeting
Goodbye Felipe,
welcome Sarah!
Substantial Amendment
We recently said a sad farewell to Felipe
and wish him all the best in his fantastic new
role as Consultant Midwife at Whipps Cross
Hospital. Thank you, Felipe, for your valuable
contributions to the success of SALVO. We are
sure that you will continue to promote SALVO
at BartsHealth!
We are delighted to introduce Sarah Weist, who
started as our new Senior Research Midwife at
the Royal London this week- welcome Sarah!
Sarah is not new to SALVO - she was previously
the SALVO research
midwife based at Queens
Hospital in Romford and
so is in a great position to
offer advice and support
where required.
-> Sarah Weist, Salvo Senior
Research Midwife
As you know we are hoping to approach women
in the early stages of labour (0-4cm) who have
not received trial information antenatally.
The amendment is being reviewed by the trial
Sponsor - we will update you on
the outcome of this.
Have you seen our newly
designed Patient Information
Sheet? This is currently being
reviewed also as part of the
amendment just mentioned.

As on 31st August our total recruitment to SALVO was 1558! We have fallen a little behind on our overall
target but now that the Summer holiday season is behind us we expect recruitment will pick up again. Despite
many being on leave throughout August we still managed to recruit 48 participants- well done.
August Recruiter of the Month - Well done to our team at Sunderland who recruited 14 patients!!!
