3. Wish them accordingly with pleasantries, and cordial small talk.
4. Introduction about CIIE in general.
5. Distinguish between The Centre and CIIE Initiatives.
6. Explain a gist of initiatives and activities undertaken by us.
7. Mention verticals.
8. Identify each vertical with sub verticals.
9. Mention the programs in under each vertical. (Only if required)
10. Tell them about iAccelerator and ICT Initiatives. Let them know about a few successful
startups we have managed to incubate like TookiTaki, MangoReader and Almaconnect.
11. Explain Aarohan ventures, GIZ and provide brief information on Act4Impact and LastMile
accelerator.
12. Talk about our startups in heathcare, education, agriculture etc.
13. how they raise institutional and venture funding for clean energy startups in India.
14. Showcase a brief on Powerstart accelerator.
15. 5. Try to understand the need of the potential investor by getting more information out of him
rather than giving him information on us. Gauge his potential by learning about him or his firm.
Analyse his online profiles from linkedin and angelist and understand his investment trend.
16. 6. Once we understand his vertical incliniation, give an example of our portfolio company
which would be best suited to his portfolio. Eg. MechMocha to a gaming investor or Aakar
Innovations to an impact investor.
17. 7. Discuss angel investing in short if the person is a first timer or HNI. Make them understand
about our investor outreach and angel on boarding process. Tell them about our inhouse
Angels and how we select them. Explain how they invest, as an individual, co-investment or
syndication.
18. 8. During profile analysis, find out their usual ticket size. Then try to reconfirm their recent
investments and understand their current investment capacity. Give them summarized
information about angel investments in general and statistics till date.
19. 9. Explain how we offer different types of instruments. Whether it be equity or convertible
debt. Tell them about the ongoing percentages involved. Our stake/their stake.
20. 10. Ask them in detail about themselves and their backgrounds. Try to understand whether
they have entrepreneurial experience, investment experience or industry expertise.
21. 11. Explore common sources and references.
22. 12. Explore channels that have led to them hearing of us and our work. If they have heard of
us try to understand the general verdict about our work in the ecosystem.
23. 14. Explore additional opportunities by telling them about programs like Mentoredge, AIEW,
GEW and other ecosystem development activities. (Only if required)
24. 15. Invite them for a visit to CIIE and personally follow up with their availability.
