September 2014
CEO Series Workshop with Oliver Wight shows SMEs how to
manage suppl !hain per"orman!e
Don Harding, Partner at business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight, will present
on Managing Supply Chain Performance on October 7 2014 at the NUSS Kent Ridge in
Singapore, as part of the October CEO Series.
Organised by the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Society, in conjunction with the
Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, the workshop is designed to help CEOs,
executives and senior decision makers of small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) manage
their supply chains more efciently to achieve a balanced business model and maximise
proft.
To efectively manage the supply chain, the right processes have to be in place. Integrated
Business Planning (advanced S&OP), a business management process for running the entire
organisation, not only provides a 24-36 month rolling horizon, it directly links the corporate
strategy and fnancial plans, and exerts control over the extended supply chain, explains Don.
This results in improved visibility of demand and capability in supply, as well as better
understanding and management of product portfolio.
Many SMEs think supply chain optimisation is just for larger organisations, but if businesses
want to compete with larger corporations they need to be thinking about their supply chain
too. This workshop will look at what efective supply chain management means for smaller
companies and how they can efectively monitor performance and achieve excellence, says
Don.
The session is the second programme in a four part series, spanning four months, that covers
key topics in efective supply chain management and optimisation; tickets for one session cost
S$58, or S$188 for all four.
The session will be repeated on Thursday 16th October at the Hard Rock Cafe in Singapore
from 4.30 - 6pm. To fnd out more, or to register for the event, visit http://logisym.org/2015/the-
