the Arabian peninsula.

o Why are their tensions between Israel and the Arabs?
Because they both have political stuff, strategic,
and economic interest in the area of the great
powers.

o What country was the largest supplier of weapons in Iraq
during this conflict? Iranian army.

o What was the name of the Iraqi president? Saddam
Hussein.
o What was he accused of that led to war? The
overproduction of oil in Kuwait, which had cost Iraq
an estimate of 14 billion dollars a year when oil
prices went low.
o When was the Iraqi president captured and convicted of
during this war?

countries of the Middle East are located..
 Lastly, ask Dr. Smith for a hardcopy of the Map Quiz for your
team to complete for 23 pts. World Geography credit.
o This Map Quiz must be completed with computer lids down
and with no outside resources.
o Once your team has completed the Map Quiz, turn it in for
correction and credit.
