1. Product Summarization
(1). The constructional design and function setting of this product are applicable to
Chess Competitions timing, such as Chinese chess, chess an I-go.
(2). The product using method of counting down timing. I-go can second-reading
count down automatically; Chinese chess can add up accumulatively the steps of the
player automatically.
(3). The time rules can use the settings values of the procedure, and the player can
amend the setting.
(4). The function contains the cue of insufficiency of battery energy, pause, mute,
buzzing, lighting of LED and so on.

2. The setting of time rules
The product has set eight time rules, which is often used in chess competitions.
The player can choose every of them, or amend the time rules.
(1). Countdown Timing: The first time limit is 30 minutes; the player will lose if his
time is up.
(2). The general of Chinese chess: The first time limit is 30 steps 1 hour, then the
player takes 10 steps in repeat 15 minutes until the game is over.
(3). The general of I-go: The countdown is 4 hours, the last 5 minutes is 5 times
countdown, the player should repeat 1 step per minute and the product will count
down.
(Remark: the rule cannot be amended)
Second-reading countdown within reservation times: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 55, 58, 1
minute.
Second-reading countdown of using up the reservation times: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
(4). The fast I-go: 1 step per 30 seconds, the game has 10 times countdown of 30
seconds.
Second-reading countdown within reservation times: 10, 20, 25, 28, 30.
Second-reading countdown using up the reservation times: 10, 20, 25, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 10.
(5). The standard of chess: The first time limit is 40 steps in 2 hours; the others must
be finished in 1 hour.
(6). The tradition of chess: The first time limit is 40 steps in 2 hours, then the player
repeats 20 steps in 1 hour until the game is over.
(7). The chess league: The first time is 40 steps in 2 hours, 20 steps in 1 hour; the
others must be finished in 30 minutes.
Remark: The left LCD-L shows CHESS, this rule cannot be amended.
(8). The time award: The player will lose if using up time award in 3 minutes, the
player will be awarded 3 seconds while every step. (The right LCD shows that)
3. Operation
(1). You can an fix the working battery, turn on the mains switch on the bottom of the
calculagraph, buzzing, after the LED light, LCD will show the time rules and entering
chess competitions.

(2). The use and time rules
The SET-L or SET-R can choose the time rules, which is related to chess
competitions. If the time and steps needs amending, please press OK, then the LCD
flashes, press + or -: to amend. Press SET-L or SET-R to change the left or right
numerical value. After the amendment, press OK to confirm.
(3). Time and steps account
When the game starts, the second player START on the top of calculagraph, The
LED light of the first player will shine, the time start, time is descend. When the first
player finish one step, he should press START by himself, and then steps account will
start, and the LED light of the second player will shine and start the time account. Do
alternate operations as above until the game is over.
(4). Pause and mute
Press PAUSE to pause the game. Press SOUND to mute. Press PAUSE and
SOUND again to resume the time account and buzzing.
(5). The buzzing will last 2 seconds when the game is over. At the same time, the
LED light will turn off, but LCD light will not change. When need restart the game,
please press RESET to return the setting of chess rule.
4. Notice
(1). The product uses 2 alkaline cell of No.4. Please change batteries when LCD
shows insufficiency of electric power
(2). If you havent use it for a long time, please press OFF/ON to turn off LCD or the
dial the mains switch on the bottom of the calculagraph, shut off the power supply
(3). Please watch out the protection against the tide and water.
