What is Wood

Badge?

Leadership course for trained: Cub Scout Leaders, Venture Leaders and Boy Scout Leaders.
Worldwide training tradition that reaches back to the days of the founding of Scouting.
Six day experience, over two 3-day weekends, in which you learn more about Scouting,
leadership and yourself. It is only offered in Tuscarora Council every Two Yearsso act fast.
All trained adult Scout Leaders are encouraged to attend Wood Badge; space is limited.
Wood Badge is the highest and most advanced training course offered by the Boy Scouts of
America. While it is rich in Scouting History and tradition, participants will learn modern leadership
theories from contemporary scholars such as Ken Blanchard, Steven R. Covey and Spencer Johnson.

When is Wood Badge and Where does it take place?
February 27-March 1 2015All Day (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)-Indoor class room
March 21-23, 2015All Day (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday)-Patrol camping

Why Attend Wood Badge and How much does it cost?
It will make you a more effective leader
It will be fun while teaching practical applications of listening, communicating, project planning and
team building.
You will connect with fellow Scouters who become friends for life and a resource for years to come.
S7-424-15 course fee is $150.00. The fee will cover most meals, lodging, course hat, course
notebook, and other program materials for the 6 full days, and training recognition.

BSA Class A uniform for your scouting position
