Terminal automation system (tas) is a gateway ensemble to an upper level system to seamlessly execute orders downloaded from there. The downloaded order data is analyzed and managed at TAS-MS to produce a sequence of events and information packets that can be understood by the TAS-CS module for controlling the instruments and data collection functions in the terminal.

The downloaded order data is analyzed and managed at TAS-MS to produce a sequence of events and information packets that can be understood by the TAS-CS module for controlling the instruments and data collection functions in the terminal. Once the execution information is downloaded into TAS-CS, the responsibility of TAS-MS is to observe and collect relevant data for the preparation of BOL and assemble other data packets that can be processed at the upper level systems. TAS-CS (Control System) TAS-CS handles the loading and unloading of oil products, LPG, petrochemicals and asphalt. Its functionality comprises all necessary monitoring and control functions for terminal operation. TAS-MS downloads the control property definition into TAS-CS for execution. TAS- CS executes the movement control function with ease and efficiency, and monitors the quantities transferred to ensure accurate control, annunciating alarms as necessary in response to inadvertent operation or equipment malfunction. Control platforms can be variably selected to meet users' needs. For example, a relatively simple terminal configuration for truck loading would use PLC (FA-M3), while larger scale terminals would use either DCS (CENTUM CS 3000) or NCS (STARDOM). It is suitable for mid- to large-sized oil and/or LPG import terminals, stockpiling bases, etc., where high dependability is required. STARDOM STARDOM is a network control system that is designed for mid-sized oil terminals, LPG secondary terminals, etc., where relatively less process control is managed and high reliability is required. FA-M3 FA-M3 is a programmable logic controller that is suitable for sole truck loading. The ideal response to user needs Troublesome operational procedures? Time-consuming operation?
