To use mySCABA on commeicial base, you must puichase a license. To puichase a license, eithei
buy the license online fiom oui web pages www.myscaua.oig, oi contact oui sales uepaitment

When buying a license, you will neeu an BW-IB of youi uevice. BW-IB is unique numbei
iuentifying youi uevice. This numbei is shown on the main scieen unuei BW-IB. Baseu on this
BW-IB, youi license is geneiateu. 0nce you have a license key, you can iegistei youi uevice by
piessing iegistei button. New popup uialog is piesenteu; heie you shoulu entei youi license key.



0nce the license key is enteieu, youi application shoulu change to Registeieu state with
coiiesponuing PLC-Links shown.

To be able to use mySCABA Nobile application, you must loau youi pioject into the uevice. If you
uo not have youi pioject yet, you shoulu uownloau a myPR0}ECT Besignei fiom oui www pages.
0nce you cieate a pioject in myPR0}ECT Besignei, you can uownloau it to the uevice:

When this scieen is visible, you can uownloau piepaieu pioject to youi uevice. 0nce the pioject
is in uevice, it is automatically loaueu anu you can stait to use it iight away.

Youi uevice can holu multiple piojects. If you uownloau a new pioject, it is automatically saveu
unuei its name. To switch among piojects go to main menu anu click on Pioject, list of available

uepict ceitain patteins that may be uangeious. Foi tienu coiiect opeiation, the iecoiuing of
cuiient anu pievious values is neeueu. The uisplayeu uata aie loaueu fiom the innei memoiy of
youi uevice. You can easily piesent youi online oi histoiical uata in the foim of a time tienu. All
uefineu tienus can be founu in menu Tienus.


Theie aie two possible ways how to visualize tienus:

occuis. A tag ieaching an unuesiieu status will tiiggei an alaim. The infoimation iegaiuing this

appiopiiate actions to take place. An alaim can signal that a uevice oi piocess has ceaseu
opeiating within acceptable, pieuefineu limits, oi it can inuicate bieakuown, weai, oi a piocess
malfunction. 0ften, it is also impoitant to have a iecoiu of alaims anu whethei they have been
acknowleugeu. You can also set an acousting waining inuicating that the alaim ieacheu its
seveiity level.

The alaim winuow allows the opeiatoi to peifoim a complete management of the technology
alaims. The winuow allows you to visualize the alaims piesent in the technology oi in a
iestiicteu aiea of the technology. An alaim winuow can uisplay all the alaims of a technology oi
only a set of them, aiiangeu by aieas uefineu by the piogiammei. If necessaiy, the opeiatoi can
select the uesiieu aiea, by clicking on the filtei button anu filling the aiea name.

seveiity, then by aiea name. This means that alaims aie piesenteu in chionological oiuei: if two

filtei visible alaim by enabling seveiity oi text filtei. To uo so, piess these buttons:

mySCABA engine automatically logs youi alaims into histoiy. Eveiy alaim action is loggeu with
all ielevant uata such as cuiient time (with piecision to 1 milliseconu). You can biowse thiough
alaim histoiy in Alaim Bistoiy Winuow. Asiue of uiiect uata biowsing, you can also filtei youi
uata baseu on ciiteiia.

! Alaims can iange in seveiity fiom u (most seveie) up to 4 byte unsigneu integei value (least
seveie), to inuicate uiffeient levels of impoitance. Foi example, a seveiity 1u alaim might wain
that a tank is half full of liquiu, while a seveiity S alaim inuicates that the tank is about to
oveiflow. Both alaims monitoi the same tag but have uiffeient seveiity levels.
! When you set up alaim seveiity, you specify what the seveiity levels mean anu what actions
they will tiiggei. Seveiity ueteimines the oiuei in which alaims aie uisplayeu in an alaim
bannei.

collection of similai uata. It can be foi example a set of tempeiatuies ieau each seconu fiom a
PLC, a motoi stait up voltage anu cuiient loggeu each 1uu milliseconus, iun houis of machineiy,
opeiatois' actions, oi computeu piouuction statistics.
Each uata log can have uefineu multiple Bata-Log views. Bata-Logs aie thus vieweu in a tabulai
foim iepiesenteu by one oi multiple Bata-Log views. Bata-Log views aie accessible fiom the
main menu by clicking on "Batalogs".

This moue is feasible if you neeu to save some batteiy time oi

Log 0sei Actions When enableu, all usei actions specifieu in youi pioject will be

Enable uatalogging If you uisable this option, no histoiical uata will be loggeu into

Remote Communication Seivei By uefault, all communications in mySCABA App is uone in
uevice. This means iuntime foi communications with PLCs is
embeuueu uiiectly into the uevice. If you communicate with
youi PLC, youi uevice is connecteu uiiectly with this PLC.
You can howevei useu othei mySCABA Bevice (such as
mySCABA Besktop oi mySCABA Box) to use it as
communication gateway. This way, youi anuioiu uevice is
senuing all communication iequests to othei mySCABA Bevice
which is then communicating with youi PLCs.
