Installing OLE DB 11.0 driver in SharePoint 2010 India

1) Please take full backup of SharePoint server before doing any below steps
Might be you need to restart server multiple times throughout this activity
2) Install Windows server 2008 R2 SP1 (If already installed you can skip this step)
3) Download SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi from below link
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35580
4) Stop SQL server Browser service on SharePoint server
(If Service is running at time of Setup you will receive warning message in between driver
installation)
5) Install OLE DB driver as per steps given below

a) Right click on SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi click on Install


b) On Security warning click on Run

c) Click on Next


d) Accept license agreement click on Next

e) Click On Install


f) Setup will install all required files and drivers



g) After setup completed successfully Click on Finish

MSOLE.5 drivers are installed successfully

6) Confirm if your installation is successful
Go to Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\AS OLEDB
You will see 2 folders 10 and 110
10 is for Microsoft OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services 10.0
110 is for Microsoft OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services 11.0 (New Folder after
installation)

7) Now Create New trusted data source in SharePoint Excel services.
Open Central Administration => Application Management => Manage service
applications=> Excel Services Application

a) Click Trusted Data Providers.



b) This will open all Trusted Data Source list for Excel services

c) Click Add Trusted Data Provider.



d) In Provider ID, type MSOLAP.5.
e) For Provider Type, ensure that OLE DB is selected.
f) In Provider Description, type Microsoft OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services 11.0.
g) Click On OK
h) New Trusted data provider for Msolap.5 is added now.
