all, the communication is coming through a human instrument6
7hat, then, are the implications for critical evaluation of evidence received through such mediumship8

i Alan,
: have been steering around this ?uestion because : have not tried to do any trance yet6 7hen : first
became involved $ith Spiritualism, as a result of meeting Lis, : $as lucky enough to be fast tracked
into the circle $here Lis did deep trance6 @ormal protocols in place, her friend and Maid of onour at
our $edding ,aphne $as circle leader and physical control responsible for testing the spirits plus Lis5s
$ell being A$ith Lis5s o$n guides in SpiritB6 Lis had about C different guides that $ould come through6
*nce communication $as starting ,aphne5s husband $ould activate the reel to reel recorder in another
room because he $ould be sitting there listening in through the microphone in the circle room6
:nteresting, because in Lis5s deep trance she $as totally overshado$ed by her guides and you could
clearly distinguish the outline and look of them, often appearing that Lis had completely changed shape
Athe circle room $as in dim red lightB6
:ts no$ 0D years since : listened to the recordings, $hich $ere copied over to cassette but : $as
impressed $ith the ?uality and nature of the recordings6 :t $as also interesting that spirit $ould edit out
some conversations by not recording them and on one occasion they actually recorded a totally
different trance communication to that $hich occured in the room6
: remember the discussions that took place then6 ;y linking those ideas to $hat : have learned since
and looking at your thoughts : believe that $hat you suggest is ?uite right6 That some part of the
mediums mind remains involved, indeed : think that if the medium has a very strong opinion on an
issue it $ill appear6 9ontroversially : believe $e see this clearly $hen abortion appears as a subEect,
some trance mediums bring forth violent opposition others are neutral and not at all Eudgemental6 There
is a very clear division of opinion about $hen the Spirit enters the body $ith many spiritualists saying
at birth and others suggesting different times6 :t appears to me that this is the one period in life $here
there has been a little pre planning Aconsciously or unconsciously by those physical parentsB so : think
it $ould be at the most beneficil time for the spirit involved to learn that lesson they chose6 Looking at
this : cannot believe that $hatever the parents choose at this time is harmful to Spirit5s plan6
: raise this to indicate the problem Eust in trance $here it is necessary to carefully evaluate the
information and decide upon the value of the material6 F?ually the $orth of the spirits need to be
checked are they real or giving $hat appears to be misinformation6 : have to say this is eGactly the case
$ith ,avid Thompson and 7illiam 9harles 9ad$ell, $here the information given on his eGistence is
$rong and the material he gives can include potentially harmful advice6 ,avid is also interesting
because he uses his martial arts training to link into trance6 : am a$are of a fe$ HchannellersH $ho link
this $ay rather than the traditional meditation approach6 : don5t kno$ if anyone has any thoughts on
this methodology8
*f course in any trance $e also have the decision to make, is the person deliberately making up the
communication6 Alternatively by $hatever means they change their consciousness are they
inadvertantly accessing a multiple personality or a seperate part of their o$n consciousness A$e should
be a$are that certain mental conditions can possibly be triggered by our $ork and the voices people
hear are their o$nB remember in serious multiple personality cases physical features and health
conditions can appear and disappear6 Then $e may Eust have someone $ho is so uncontrolled going
into trance that they are $illing to let anything in $hatever it may do6 :n the modern, learn trance in a
day $orkshops, thats a real risk6
So entering this minefield, ho$ do $e evaluate this, in honesty : think it is by very tight ?uestioning of
the Spirits that appear6 :t is essential to Eudge the $orth of ho$ they appear and $hat they say and do6 :t

up6 For the life of me : cannot see ho$ this relates to either a $ise spiritual being or even one that is
really appropriate to help us carry the message of survival6

can be brought through and the $ay it $ill be presented6 The communicators $ill tend to gravitate to
$hatever they can $ork $ith and spirit $ill recognise that $ith an appropriate match up6
9learly part of the Eob is also to kno$ the medium involved and his value system and ethics Aif this is
actually possible as superficially many can look greatB6 :f truly like attracts like then a medium $ho is
prepared to enhance his abilities and make unreal claims is likely to, if he is really $orking $ith spirit,

So you are right to ask , if the Spirits are talking to us it is a necessity that $e evaluate, consider and
discern before accepting6

+day,yes the mediums mind can interfere,like other types of mediums you get ya good ones,and then
the ones that try6o$ever a good trance medium,the guide $ill of course take over,and many $ill find
that if they try and put their o$n thoughts in, the communication stopsAdoes $ith me any$ayB6Trance
levels are different $ith every medium, deeper the trance less likely for the mind to interfere6That said
tho,my guide often says things that contradict my o$n thoughts or vie$s,$hich spins me out6
: had a gent sit $ith me recently,a very good medium himself the guide came thru,gave a very ?uick
chat and $ithdre$,told me that it $as no good $ith that fella there6The neGt $eek he gave a very long
talk on those $ho can only criticiJe,and do so $ithout looking into things deeper,criticiJe $ithout
understanding,he $as talking about the bloke from the $eek before6So a negative or unsuitable sitter
can effect the trance levels therefor the mind can interfere more6
Method i use personally,it takes about /> mins for me to relaG and the guide take over,so $e sit and
listen to classical music for that time,$hen he comes thru the music is turned do$n, not off6
:n this first /> mins or so i feel him come close, in and out,he never rushes things he gets me at a
decent level then starts talking,the more he talks the deeper the state gets till i feel like iam floating,i
have had obes at this stage,i feel very removed like iam going to fall asleep6:t $ill stay at this stage
until he is ready to $ithdra$,i feel him starting to $ithdra$ before he says his good byes,and he slo$ly
lightens the trance again6Sometimes i can remember sometimes not $hat he has said6
My guide only does the trance $ork,rarely does he let anyone else take control6*ne of the cheeky
children comes thru sometimes,complaining they dont let him speak enough6: did think this young fella
$as part of my imagination ) ego) $hatever you $ant to call it,until one of my sitters told me she has
him on film,he paid her a visit so she thought she $ould record it,he al$ays $ears a tuG to
circleA/3year old in a tuG lolBsure enough he has the tuG on6
The better the medium the better the communication,tho like $ith all things if $hat they say does not
ring true then dismiss it,or ?uestion it6
:am sure that especially in the early stages of development the mind of the medium plays a big part,but
development needs to push the medium and push himKher to the point $here they do loose control to
their guide,so the trance medium needs the right mentors to enable this to happen,so not only do you
need a suitable medium,but that medium needs suitable teaching,it is $ith this teaching pushed by the
mentors $hich in the end, results in a decent trance mediumship6
: think the medium at times doubts themselves $ondering if it is their o$n self or spirit,but $hen they
do things like ?uote from books the medium has never even heard of,you have to $onder eh6ib

1im you kno$ $ith the like attracts like theory do you think that could be $hy certain guides come
through $ith certain opinions such as abortion $hether they are for it or against it666could it be that
guides do retain their personality to a certain degree and the like attracts like theory comes into practice
$hen a guide and medium are brought together, $hether the choice is made before incarnation or
$henever8

: am really getting interested in trance6 : thought a guy : kne$ $as already developing as a trance
medium but apparantly he has had training at stanstead and he says that he $ill be starting to sit for
trance shortly but he hasn5t yet6 : offered to sit for him6 : $ould love as much advice as possible if he

;est advice i can give $ould be find a good mentor or teacher that can help $ith the trance6:f you are
sitting for someone else,keep the guide talking $ith lots of ?uestions6Some trance mediums and their
guides $ill start off $ith a very long talk on this and that, light and love etc,they may not take
?uestions,but most should be able to6
7illo$ does not tend to chit chat much,he says his greetings and takes ?uestions straight a$ay,some
times a talk on an appropriate subEect if needed6More sensitive sitters should also be able to feel the
presence of the guide also6: have seen trance mediums and i have seen trance mediums,use discernment
in the content and also picking a decent teacher6ib

eplain how he controlled his medium, the guide went into great detail in his eplanation. (e said:

the pictures of saints ) and : come into that aura $ith my aura6 ;ut your pictures only sho$ the aura as
$hite6 :n reality, it is full of colours, and these colours are a complete indication of everything that you
do, $hat you think and $hat you are6 Those $ho can see the aura kno$ you better than you kno$
yourselves6 They kno$ the sort of person you are ) $hat you think, $hat you have achieved, $here you
lack and $here you succeed6 The aura is the permanent record of everything that you are6
: come as close as : can, $hilst the instrument makes himself receptive6 e must not set up any
vibrations because they disturb6 e must be ?uiet6 :f he runs about : cannot come into his aura6 As he
sits passively, so his consciousness slips a$ay and :, harmoniJing myself $ith the aura, try to achieve a

: am no$ the tenant, and : thro$ a shaft of light on to the back of his neck6 That gives me control of all
the nerves in the body as $ell, so that : have mental control, control over the nerves and complete
physical control $hilst : am using this instrument6
7hen : first began to use him, : had to search through his vocabulary to find $ords, learning them all
the time like you have to $hen you learn a foreign language6 : had to learn the $ords and then find
them in his vocabulary and, as it $ere, press the key of a type$riter to make the $ords rise to his lips6
Then the trouble $as that $hen : hit one key tofind a $ord, his subconscious mind, $hich $as not then
properly trained, $ould interfere, because of the association of ideas that al$ays eGists6
So : had to learn, $hile : $as mastering this language, so to control this subconscious mind that $hen :
$anted one $ord that $ord only registered and nothing else came $ith it6 That took me a long time, but
no$ : find any $ord : $ant and even $ords that he has forgotten, and sometimes $ords he never uses6
That is only a ?uestion of practice6 At the same time as : am doing that, : have to tune in to a series ofM
po$er stations so that the kno$ledge : $ant to transmit is ready to be NconnectedO6
*ne of the troubles, and this is a great difficulty, is that once you get into the aura of the medium you
have slackened your vibrations do$n, so that you are gradually cutting yourself off from the vibrations
of the $orld of spirit to $hich you are normally accustomed6 The threads that hold you become
attenuated and, unless you have practised very diligently, they snap6
#ou can maintain contact $ith the physical $orld and lose the contact $ith the $orld of spirit6 So,
$hilst : have the mastery over the body of the medium, at the same time : have to learn to retain my
connections $ith all those po$er houses $hich supply me $ith the information : $ant to transmit to
your $orld6 That information is in record form, actually prepared, so that $hen : desire to tap one
source the line is kept open for me6
:n that : am assisted by many here, so that there is no interference6 For there are attracted many
thousands to such a gathering as this, all trying to make an opportunity of registering themselves, or

Also there are brought here those $ho do not believe that it is possible to communicate $ith your $orld

All those others $ho help me are at $ork all the time to make sure : can receive the message6 :f : am to

The line is kept openI : tune in ) or plug in, to use your phraseology ) and it pours through me and
through the medium6
:t is very complicated and there is a lot of $ork attached to it, and many have to labour arduously so
that you can get this message6 That should enable you to understand $hat : mean $hen : say : am only
an instrument6 That is all : am ) an instrument of this higher po$er as it seeks to use me, as it seeks to
use all of you6
-ery, very rarely, something goes $rong6 Perhaps they have not allo$ed for the climatic conditions,
perhaps one of the engineers ) if you like to call them such ) has not calculated properly, and the line
snaps6 That has happened, and : have to plug in or tune in to another source that is $aiting there6 There

ence, as $as done $ith Silver ;irch, the need for those physically present to very carefully test the

The image $as captured on a mobile phone,in normal lighting6:t looks like he is doing a tap dance in a
$hite tuG6
e appears to be /0 inches tall,you can make him out ?uite $ell,the sitter $as interested in spirit
photography,so $e think he $ent to have his pic taken6She got a bit of phenomena one day upon
returning home from $ork so she started snapping6#ou kno$ in star $ars,the holographic images that
R0,0 puts out,i $ould describe it similar to that6
+roup members $ere not really fussed about it,it $as more confirmation of his presence $ithin our
group6
: did not make a copy of it,i $as going to,but the sitters father fell ill,she $asnt sure if she $ould make
circle so i told her to stay at home and look after her dad,she never returned to sit,the footage i believe
$as sent to that Fontana bloke for study6Aud at $oodlands also sa$ this footage6
Altho a circle guide appears on the footage,it really has nothing to do $ith my mediumship,it $as the
mediumship of the sitter6
The other entities belonged to her,i did not recogniJe any others,one lo$ vibration $anted a pic taken
obviously bit ugly,beast looking type thing,all you can do is feel sorry for it,and give it compassion and
love6
: think the most eGciting part of it all is kno$ing this young fella is not from my head,i trust $hat he
says a bit more no$&
e has given details of his earthly life but nothing i can verify6

room because he $ould be sitting there listening in through the microphone in the circle room6

clearly distinguish the outline and look of them, often appearing that Lis had completely changed shape

is a very clear division of opinion about $hen the Spirit enters the body $ith many spiritualists saying
at birth and others suggesting different times6 :t appears to me that this is the one period in life $here
there has been a little pre planning Aconsciously or unconsciously by those physical parentsB so : think
it $ould be at the most beneficil time for the spirit involved to learn that lesson they chose6 Looking at
this : cannot believe that $hatever the parents choose at this time is harmful to Spirit5s plan6

information and decide upon the value of the material6 F?ually the $orth of the spirits need to be
checked are they real or giving $hat appears to be misinformation6 : have to say this is eGactly the case
