In this fully online degree program, you will gain experience in a broad range of current and emerging technologies. WordPress and EndNote are introduced in the very first course. You will develop your own WordPress Personal Learning Environment (PLE) where you will be able to display all of your course design projects in one convenient place.
New technologies are introduced in each of the other courses. Some applications you will learn to use include: Twitter *Diigo Google Hangouts *Pinterest Voxopop *Instagrok Jing *Second Life Audacity *Prezi Screencast-O-Matic *Mobile Learning Design As you can see, there will be a lot of work with a variety of technology applications and tools. In order for you to be successful in this program you should meet these minimum expectations:
Already work in the field of education, training, instructional or curriculum design, or instructional technology, Have strong technology skills (MS Office and Internet proficient) and a desire to strengthen these skills, and The ability to communicate well verbally and in writing at a graduate level. You will understand and be able to apply theories of design and instruction to the development, design, and implementation of educational experiences and events.
You will be able to design and develop learning environments using models of instructional design such as the ADDIE model.
You will be able to integrate appropriate technology in a diversity of educational settings including schools, universities, corporations, non-profits, and government agencies.
You will be able to assess, budget, and evaluate education technology.
