Technology in Science

Technology this is the word that science cannot live without. As often stated in schools
subjects, the words science and technology are commonly treated as to pertain to only single
field. Indeed, it is no wonder how technology changes science thorough the years. Technology
makes the science timely and updated in dealing with scientific information. It paves the way of
acquisition, assessment, analysis and communication of the whole science, itself. One of the
recent advances on this is the kind of technology applied in treating patients with AIDS/HIV.
The scientific world as been constantly seeking for answer to the disease had finally found the
solution through blood transplant. The bioassays test and blood transfusion procedure are the
techniques to investigate the disease presently.
This blood transfusion is not ordinary because it requires precision and intricate analysis
before being done. According to scientists, the role of technology as to acquire, assess, analyze
and communicate scientific information plays in the guise of bioassays tests. With this, they are
able to acquire and assess CCR5 receptors which are the complement of AIDS/HIV virus in
cells. Corollary to it, they can also analyze propound effect of possible mutations and
communicate it among cells. In an instance, as they truncate mice cells, they have found out that
mice are actually able to resist the disease. However, the barrier on this method is how these
cells can be propagated. Fortunately, this problem is recently answered by the further technology
that tests donor if their blood is resistant to AIDS/HIV. This application of blood transfusion
technology acquires information on blood content, assesses and analyzes the same, and
ultimately communicates its obtained scientific results by identifying persons with such kind of
blood, such that aiding blood transfusion. It is said that some humans, particularly Caucasians,
have this blood that innately is resistant to AIDS/HIV. Thus with the transfusion of resistant-to-
AIDS/HIV stem cells to inflicted victims, the former can be relieved from the disease by renewal
of blood.
There is a strong and solid relation between the acquisition, assessment, analysis, and
communication of scientific data, and technology. As been cited in the case of a disease, these
technologies can be used to analyze, assess, acquire and communicate information about the
nature, severity and possible remedy. With the use of technologies, there is a constant hope to
unleash more of these scientific queries. The employment of bioassay test and blood transfusion
technique are proven to be implements of acquiring, assessing, analyzing, and communicating
scientific information
