A brief introduction about Technip

Technip India Limited (TPIL), Chennai, was promoted by Southern Petrochemical Industries
Corporation Limited (SPIC), Chennai and formed in June 1998 as a joint venture with the present
TECHNIP, FRANCE, which is among top Five global companies in the field of Engineering,
Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical and Fertilizer Industries.
Technip has an annual turnover of approximately 7 billion Euros and a global strength of over 30,000
people spread over about Fifty offices across the Globe. Technip India Limited, Chennai, is a fully
owned subsidiary of Technip, Head Office in Paris, France.

TPIL has strength of over 1,000 people in all disciplines of engineering, with modern office buildings,
complete computerization, state of art communication facilities, and it executes EPC work for Technip,
France and our own clients for projects all over the world. TPIL is expanding business multifold,
exchanging manpower regularly with other Technip offices outside India, and also tying up with other
global EPC companies. TPIL executes works in all three segments viz., Subsea, Offshore and Onshore.

The first batch of Engineer Trainees joined TPIL in July 2001 and till date we have taken XI batches of
trainees and have trained over 300 Engineers.

The first batch of Diploma Trainees joined TPIL in July 2010 and till date we have taken III batches of
trainees and have trained about 70 Diploma holders.

Today, the no. of employees who have joined us through the Engineer Trainee and Diploma Trainee
route forms about 1/3rd of our total employee population. They are specially trained for this type of
industry and are the pillars of our organization.

We have signed MoU with Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai for the
Executive Post Graduate Program in Business Management (two year program) and with Birla Institute
of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani for the Master Degree M.S (Engineering Management) (two
year program).

We are in the process of signing a MoU with a private Engineering College (Deemed University) for
providing part-time Engineering Degree for our employees who have joined us through the Diploma
Trainee route.
