Reaction Paper on the Movie Rizal

The movie Jose Rizal is all about our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal His life and works, his
struggles in order to free his countrymen from abuse, until his death under the hands of the Spaniards
who occupied our country for a very long time. Most of the scenes of the film took place during Rizals
imprisonment at Dapitan wherein he meets Taviel, a Spanish officer, who will eventually defend
him on his trial in court. During their meeting, Taviel asks Rizal everything about him and his
works through various questions. Every answer that Rizal brought out from his mouth made Taviel
realize that Rizal was indeed an innocent man.On t he course of t hei r conversat i on, Ri zal t al k s

switches during the scenes on the movie most especially during the time that his first novel was on
the process of writing. Ri z a l , a br a v e an d a man of hi s wor d, wa s ne v er af r ai d

his death and the creation of his great novels. The actors and actresses who acted on the movie
did a great job presenting how it was during Rizals time even though the said events in Rizals life
were just written in books.

He who does not love his own language is worse than an
animal and smelly fish
-Jose Rizal
- This quotes means if we use our own language to communicate with the same
Filipino we will understand what we talk and to share. But we use other language to
communicate to other countries to share ideas and talk to them.
While a people preserves its language; it preserves the
marks of liberty.
-Jose Rizal
-As we preserves our own nationalism we also preserves our dignity being a
Filipino in a pure heart.

If Rizal is still lives in our generation, he will sure that all
Filipino has an inspiration like him by being learning
knowledge is everything that all of Filipino was educated
even in they are poor he will also not teach but to
understand what is being a Nationalism and loving our
own language. Rizal is the hero that are brave fight in
everything even for his life and work, in the film I watch he
said that we do not need to blood to be shed, we can fight
them with our knowledge and showing that we are equal to
them. I think if he is now here in our generation maybe we
Filipino are not like this even in our problem what we
experience today.
