To the Instructor
The Success In... Series combines adult topics of interest with intensive language
practice, integrating Canadian and lifeskills content with oral and written language
activities.
The Student Workbooks are designed for multi-level classes, with the first three
books centred at mid-beginner to upper beginner level (low to high 2), while the
last three are aimed at upper beginner to lower intermediate (high 2 to low 3). For
each book a variety of presentation hints and supplementary activities allows you
to adjust the material to the level of your group.
A unique feature of the series is the grouping of the texts into small workbooks.
This allows you to focus on units that are of interest to your group at an affordable
price.
The Student CDs contain virtually every word of the student text, as well as all
supplementary songs and listening activities. Class sets of the student CDs are
available separately at the student-friendly cost of $2 each* (*2008 price) plus
shipping and handling. This allows your students to review at home.
The Teacher's Guide contains teaching hints and follow-up suggestions for every
page of the six texts in the series, plus PHOTOCOPIABLE master sheets for
such activities as pair gap exercises, same and different pictures, crossword
puzzles, grammar exercises, card games, board games, mixers, roleplays, extra
readings, songs, and more. Both the novice teacher and the experienced
professional should find items of interest.
The card games in the Teacher's Guide are also sold separately in ready-made,
easy-to-use card game sets (4 decks per set).
We hope you enjoy the series with your classes as much as we have with ours!
