AUSTRALIA - The horrifying fact that terrorism has made its appearance in Australia struck when police launched synchronised anti- terror raids on houses and vehicles across Sydneys west and north- west, and Brisbanes south as intelligence reports that Islamic extremists were planning on a random public beheading attack.Authorities sent out 800 armed officers to foil the plan which lead to 15 arrests.
According to PM Tony Abbott, a senior Australian Islamic State militant had called for demonstration killingswhich included a public beheading of any random member of the public after draping he/she/them in a black Islamic state flag.
Omarjan Azari, 22, from the western Sydney suburb of Guildford, was one of 15 people detained during the operation in Sydney. He is accused of conspiring with Mohamad Ali Baryalei, a former Kings Cross bouncer and part-time actor who is suspected of being the most senior Australian member of IS. Baryalei is believed to have gave the instruction to kidnap people and subsequently, execute them on camera. The video of the gruesome act will then be sent to the ISs media unit and be released publicly. Previously, IS had alreadly released video footage of the beheadings of two American journalists and a British aid worker seized in Syria.

The news of an alleged plot to publicly behead a random Australian will shock many people here, including the vast majority of this country's long- established moderate Muslim community. Many Muslims are unhappy with what's going on in Iraq and Syria but would never resort to violence. These raids risk antagonising the broader Islamic community. But Australia, like many countries including Britain, is worried about the threat from Islamic State, not just abroad but at home. More than a decade on from Australia's support for the US-led war in Iraq, the country finds itself embroiled in a conflict that is far from over. Tony Abbott this week announced he is sending 600 troops to the Middle East to assist in the fight against Islamic State. Security forces clearly face a battle at home too. Asked about the reports at a news conference, Mr Abbott said: "That's the intelligence we received.'' "Direct exhortations were coming from an Australian who is apparently quite senior in [IS] to networks of support back in Australia to conduct demonstration killings here in this country. "Prosecutor Michael Allnutt said Mr Azari had planned to commit "extremely serious" offences that involved "an usual level of fanaticism" and were "clearly designed to shock, horrify and terrify" the public.
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND With a whopping population of 5,000,000 million, should Scotland become an independent country? Majority of the Scottish who are eligible to vote have registered for the election. However, people in England, Northern Ireland and Wales will find that the result will change their life as well.
Scotland, one of the oldest countries in the world, was originally an independent country whose independence spanned 800 years until the formation of Great Britain in the year 1707. While all monetary and financial affairs remain controlled by the government in London and the bank of England, Scotland has their own legal system and the national church was guaranteed under the act of union.
Scottish oil contributes an approximate amount of 24.4 billion pounds to the U.K. economy, said the Scottish government. 75% of the unions offshore oil is produced from U.K. where 90% of it are from Scotland. Scottish exports are up to 100 billion pounds a year to the British treasury. Although Scotlands economy is quite stable, will it retain pounds as its currency? UK leaders said there will be no change on this issue as it is the best solution for both countries. A vote for independence is likely to result in a further appreciable sterling sell-off; a vote for Scotland to remain in the U.K. is likely to lead to a significant relief rally for the pound, said, Howard Archer who is the chief of UK and European economist for IHS Global Insight.
A yes vote will give way to an 18-month negotiation between Scottish and UK leaders about the countrys independence that would be scheduled to happen on the 26 th
March 2016. If the no vote prevails, Britains leaders would promise more powers for Scotlands government.

ENGLAND - A few pages of Jane Austens unfinished novel, which were bought for 1m in 2011 by Oxfords Bodleian Libraries, will be going on display until 16 December at her home in Chawton, Hampshire where she spent her last eight years. Her home has now renamed Jane Austen's House Museum. "Jane Austen's art is famously frugal. The densely filled and patched small pages of The Watsons manuscript offer us a precious insight into that rich and mysterious frugality. This is a rare opportunity to glimpse Jane Austen at work and her fiction as she created it." said Kathryn Sutherland, a museum trustee.
Out of the six published Jane Austen novels, none in the form of the manuscript survived. The only exception is two chapters from Persuasion. The manuscript, which is going on display as part of an exhibition at the museum, is The Watsons manuscript. It is confirmed that one of the eleven booklets from The Watsons, whose story focuses on Emma Watson, a character who has to return to her birth family as she is left with no inheritance after her rich uncle whom adopted her when she was a child dies. The manuscript includes precious paper patches which were applied where revisions to the text was made. The Watsons was started then abandoned between 1804 and 1805, after the sudden death of Austens father, George Austen.

The Cable News Network (CNN) reported the cardiac arrest which lead to Joan Rivers death happened when her personal doctor began performing a biopsy on her vocal cords. Joan Rivers, 81 years old, made an appointment for an endoscopy which involves the insertion of a camera down her throat to diagnose her hoarse voice and sore throat with another doctor, Manhattans Yorkwille Endoscopy clinics medical director, gastroerologist Dr.Lawrence Cohen.
After Cohen finished the endoscopy, a biopsy was done by Rivers personal doctor whose identity is not revealed. The biopsy was done without her prior consent. A staff member at the clinic said that her personal doctor took a selfie photo in the procedure room while Rivers was still under anesthesia. The clinic declined to respond to any of the comments about a biopsy being performed at the clinic or about the selfie incident that allegedly happened, citing federal privacy law. Yorkwille Endoscopy clinic then issued a statement last Thursday stating that any vocal biopsy was not done there. The next day, the clinic stated that Dr. Cohen" is not currently performing procedures... nor is he currently serving as medical director." !"#$ &'()*+ ,-".*/)0 122304455/!"#$!! Investigators believe that Rivers vocal chords began to swell during the allegedly unauthorized biopsy which cut off the flow of oxygen to her lungs, leading to the cardiac arrest on the morning of August 29. She was rushed to New Yorks Mount Sinai Hospital by paramedics but Rivers did not make it and died a week later.
"Even though you are a licensed physician, you still should have, if you will, the checks and balances to get your approval to practice in that particular place," said Dr. Arthur Caplan, a medical ethicist at New York University's Langone Medical Center.
Worlds best player Datuk Lee Chong Wei made up his mind to cut down the number of tournaments next year onwards after he failed again to gain the world title.
The 31-year-old Chong Wei was defeated in the mens singles final of BWF World Championships at Copenhagen, Denmark with scores 19-21, 19-21.
Chong Wei had to agree with the fact that age is catching up with him and he was frustrated that he could not hold the young and competitive Chen Long from China.
Chong Wei struck back after the dauntless Chen Long took a huge lead in both games but to no avail.
He expressed that he felt nothing after the defeat due to his repititive simple mistakes during the match. I have gone through a hectic schedule year after year. It is time to slow down. I will go for quality over quantity from next year onwards, says Chong Wei, who skipped the Commonwealth Games 2014 due to his inner thigh injury in June.
It is an important year (2015). The 2016 Olympic Games qualifying period will start (in May) and I want to be selective, Chong Wei added. He also stated that he will go for quality over quantity (for the selection of the tournaments that he will participate in) from next year onwards.
Chong Wei, whos representing Malaysia, said: I will rise again. I have another chance to get it right in the World Championships in Indonesia next year, when was asked whether he would be able to recover from his third heartbreak in a row at the World Championships.
He has set his sights on the upcoming Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, starting September 19 th as his best record for the Asian Games was the silver medal won in year 2010 in Guangzhou, China.
It will be tough to get out of this demoralising defeat but I will have to forget and move forward. I hope all my fans will continue to support me until I retire. Until then, I will continue to give my best, he added.

Its important to not go dashing off without taking steps to ensure maximum comfort and safety when running, and what better way to do it than to pick the perfect shoes to stick your feet in while you run?
Here is a short, helpful guide to choosing the right running shoes to accompany you on your sprint:
#1: Consult a professional who deals with sports medicine and let him/her evaluate your foot to find out the category of shoe that suits you. This is especially important if you are suffering from injuries.
!"!"#$%& !""#$%%&'()*+,-'(./)((0*1(2%!
#2: Fit your shoe at the end of the day. Better yet, fit it after a run to simulate how large your foot will be when you purchase it. Bring your orthotics or generic supports (if you have) with you on your fit.
#3: Have at least 1 finger width at the end of the shoe to your big toe. Its good to have some extra room in the toe box so you do not develop blisters and black toe nails. Your feet swell when you run so the fit should be snug but not tight, like a comfortable glove.
#4: Go for light weight. You probably dont want to add a lot of pounds to your feet.
#5: A firm heel and a good support. You shouldnt be able to bend the shoe too easily.
#6: Look for shoe soles with better grip. To reduce the the risk of slipping while running or jogging.
#7: Make sure any features are not just for show i.e. a window that shows you the air bladder in the sole and ruins the stability.
#8: Break the shoe in little by little, by doing shorter runs or walking to avoid blisters.
#9: Do not go into a store with one shoe in mind. Your foot will fit a range of shoes in a particular category.
#10: If possible, find a store that will allow you to exchange it if it does not feel right on your first run.
