The Evolution Slimhole Tubing Swivel is used
with tubing rotators to allow the tubing to be rotated
during production. The swivel is designed to allow
torque anchors to be set. This swivel can be set
with no-turn tools.
The Slimhole design has all the same features as
our Two-Way Swivel, but is used in applications
where a smaller OD is called for.
The Two-Way Swivel can also be sheared to allow
the tubing to freely rotate in either direction if
required. The beveled housing feature allows for
efficient shear screw removal when redressing the
tool and the two piece bearing race configuration
ensures smooth, reliable operation

Installation/
Setting
Procedure
1 Tighten all screws as a
double-check prior to
threading onto tubing.




2 Apply pipe dope to swivel
threads and thread the
swivel, box end up, onto
lower pin of tubing above
the pump, taking care to
torque as close to the upper
thread as possible. Tighten
to EUE specifications.

3 Attach the lower pin end of
the swivel to the box end of
the tubing connecting below
it, again taking care to
torque as close to the thread
as possible. DO NOT torque
through the swivel to tighten
the tubing string.

4 Run downhole to depth.
Rotate right to tighten the
tension or torque anchor as
per anchor
recommendations.

5 Pull upstrain to confirm the
anchor is properly anchored
in place.


6 Relax upstrain and rotate
the swivel until the brass
shear screws shear. At this
point the tubing swivel is
freely rotatable in both
directions.

required tension and lock-in
at surface.
