Sustainable Living Tasmania (SLT)
Provided dependable, high level executive support for the CEO and the
Board, including a successful strategic planning weekend retreat
delivered for $3k. My support enabled the Board to make informed
decisions and the CEO to better focus on strategic opportunities.
Conducted detailed business systems evaluations to determine the
best fit for SLTs needs and culture, including accounting software,
project database and customer relationship database. My attention to
detail and ability to quickly assimilate new information has reaped time
and cost savings.
Engineered simpler methods for paying SLT, and designed internal
membership and donor processes. My work has laid the foundations
for SLT to grow its donor income and membership base.
Revolutionised SLTs office by: upgrading IT & phone infrastructure;
building systems to enable staff to collaborate more easily, building a
modern Event space capable of live broadcasting; driving a staged
program for improving SLTs facilities. As well as making SLT an
attractive place to visit, SLTs capacity has been transformed from that
of a small NGO to a medium-size NGO, all on a shoestring budget.
Primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of SLT, including
recruiting and managing a diverse range of volunteers, front line
enquiry handling, and assisting colleagues to maintain their
productivity. In addition I acted as the secondary accounts officer to
share the load of financial processing responsibilities.

Leading the development of terms of reference and roadmap for a major
governance review.
Enrolling people in the vision and importance of NGO governance reform;
consensus facilitation among diverse stakeholders.
Co-ordination of the societys 2011 AGM, inviting all 60,000 members to one
of 9 offices within Australia. I connected all offices via video and phone link
for the first time in the societys history, achieving the boards top priority of
open and accountable governance.

functioning of two campaign centres and a retail shop.

Also I recruited, trained, inducted and managed volunteers. At one stage I
was managing 7 volunteers simultaneously.

board support, led strategic planning meetings and processes, ensured
regulatory compliance, wrote and produced annual reports, organised

great results for the client (their intractable technology problems were
solved) and the IT department (the IT team was held in higher esteem by
