WHO WE ARE?
We are a civil association legally established, nonprofit, without political purposes or religious.
Which aims to promote among the population to develop a citizen participation through specific projects.
We are the union of leaders and citizens associations organized in the city of Tijuana. Our common
goal is the participation: citizen participation in community improvements, peace and help others on specific
topics, inviting civil associations in Baja California State, that we activate us joining forces and expertise in
specific projects to benefit the general population.
What does it means Peace One Day?
Is an open plural solidarity movement, without political or religious treatment. The coming event
on September 21 is not a demonstration March or protest rally, it is the platform to call people to live
together in an event that could potentially pause and promote the spirit of peace and harmony at least 24
hours.

Tijuana Start point: Federal school Lazaro Cardenas and SIMNSA Hospital.
San Ysidro Start point: San Ysidro Chamber of Commerce 663 E. San Ysidro Blvd., CA 92173.
Tijuana and San Ysidro end point: Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) esplanade.






SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Family event.
Open to all ages.
White shirt/blouse or white full dress.
Ads peace on cardboard, sheeting covers.
Companies and civil associations, carry the name of the institution on cardboard.
Pets (dogs) with leashed and bosal.
Citizens motorcycle, bicycle or other transportation will be the first in the line of travel.
No protest messages.

What is the object that Peace One Day has?

Serving the purpose that gave rise to the movement PEACE ONE DAY, created in 1999 by
the actor and filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, and endorsed in 2001 by the United Nations Organization,
and our desire to improve relationships in Tijuana and San Ysidro, Celebration Peace It is a call to
Non-Violence.

The ideal increasingly adopted by governments and millions of human world is to have at
least a day dedicated for peace.

Movement originated to promote an agreement on behalf of peace, warlike conflict
countries, and had her first reaction in Afghanistan, and although it is in this type of scenario where
the call for peace is an extraordinary impact, because its purpose is to save lives. This call also is
valid and effective for countries and communities where such conflicts do not exist currently,
where we seek to promote coexistence in Peace One Day.

Violence has other faces as social tension that is lived every day, due to common problems
that originate in Tijuana, social discrimination related to racial factors, socioeconomic status,
opinion, bullying among others. Some people in Tijuana have lived close its flagellum, and
therefore has emerged clamor for peace at various ways, in some cases as a desperate cry.

However support and movement to PEACE ONE DAY , peace is expressed in everyday life
of every person every family, community, organization, and begins in all of us.

It is no coincidence that the Peace walk has the slogan of: Take action!
