The C-FER Edmonton facility contains a unique, world-class laboratory, in which full scale
equipment qualification testing can be performed, at high pressures, temperatures, and load
conditions, as well as in sour environments. The Exploration and Production Division serves
the industry in the areas of drilling and completion and in production operations. The Pipeline
and Structures Division serves the industry in the areas of pipeline design and construction
and in pipeline integrity management. In addition to working for individual clients, C-FER is
well known for leading, organizing and managing Joint Industry Projects to address important

Development needs.
Prior to joining Hess 4 years ago he worked for Conoco / ConocoPhillips for 27
years where he held Engineering & Management positions on numerous subsea
development projects around the world.
His industry activities include membership in API committee 17, Chairmanship of the Subsea Tieback
Foundation, and Chairman of the Petroleum Division of ASME's International Petroleum Technology
Institute.
