Definiti
on

is a state
where the
heart has been
damaged to
the point
where it is
unable to
supply enough
blood to the
organs of the
body. As a
result of the
failure of the
heart to pump
enough
nutrients to
the body,
blood pressure
begins to fall
and organs
may begin to
fail.
is an
emergency
condition in
which severe
blood and
fluid loss make
the heart
unable to
pump enough
blood to the
body.
is a
distributive
type of shock
resulting in
hypotension,
occasionally
with
bradycardia,
that is
attributed to
the disruption
of the
autonomic
pathways
within the
spinal cord.
Occurs when
blood volume
pools in
peripheral
blood vessels.
This abnormal
displacement
of blood
volume cause
hypovolemia
because not
enough blood
returns to the
heart causing
hypoperfusion
an extreme,
often life-
threatening
allergic reaction
to an antigen to
which the body
has become
hypersensitive
