Letter to Investors
Few Regions in the world are so well known such
as Tuscany, whose image is still powered by its
history, landscape, art and culture, as well as from
a genuine Italian lifestyle.
In addition to that, a tradition of political stability and
social cohesion, even in times of crisis, good public
services (with peaks of excellence in health care
and college education), and modern infrastructures,
are at the basis of the local high quality of life.
1
But if you also add a diversified and export-led economy, an attractive
ratio between quality and cost of labor, the presence of SMEs and
specialized services, it becomes even more evident why Tuscany is
already considered an attractive and favorable environment by almost
400 multinational companies.
We are leading in many fields such as Life Sciences, ICT, Fashion,
Super-yachts, the Paper Industry or Transport, Chemicals and Oil & Gas,
Engineering, Renewable Energy, Food, and more. The competitive
strength of our business is the result of creativity and manufacturing
capabilities that often originate in ancient craftsmanship, but also know
how to renew themselves through local opportunities for research and
innovation.
My will is therefore that the content of this brochure may sparkle also a
different interest in Tuscany, as a truly open and dynamic area where you
can make good business. Our region is indeed innovative and competitive
in the European market and can be an excellent location for international
investment.
As a matter of fact, companies coming to Tuscany, hardly go away.
President of Tuscany Region
Enrico Rossi
