Have you noticed? Despite the fact that the scope of work, and thus
the costs, associated with updating and upgrading our sanctuary increased, youve not heard pleading or experienced prodding for more
money. Its not that I dont want you to give for Gods work. There is
no better investment than to generously give toward Kingdom efforts, especially
through the Body of Christ. I want all of us to grow in giving, and my prayer is
that each of us will give as we have been prospered by God.
Thanks to the generosity of a few, the additional needs related to the renovation are in good shape. The beauty of this is that it frees the rest of us to focus our
giving for ministry and mission through Eastminsters annual operations. As we
begin looking toward 2015, please begin thinking and praying now about increasing your pledge or, for those who do not currently give, joining in supporting
Gods work through Eastminster.
With our renovations coming to completion, take a moment to reflect on where
you are in your life and in your relationship with God. On Sunday, October 26, we
will rededicate our sanctuary to God. That same day, you will be invited to rededicate yourself to our Lord, as well. I encourage you to begin preparing your heart
and mind even now.
In joy,
Brad
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having
all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8

you no longer need? If so, please consider donating them to the medical closet at EPC! We

have borrowed something and no longer need it, we would love for you to return it. You
may donate or return items to Maria Harvin, Mary Baldauf, or Lynn Grandsire at the church

us in the CE building room 251.

Pick up your Publix Partners Card to Earn Money for EDS!

Did you know that you can help provide funding for the Eastminster Day
School by shopping at Publix? Pick up your Publix Partners card from the welcome
desk by the temporary sanctuary, or from the church receptionist. Add it to your
key ring and ask your cashier to swipe it when you shop at Publix! Make sure the
whole family has a card! During the 2013-2014 school year, EDS families helped us
receive a $967.24 donation from Publix to put back into the school! We would love
to increase that amount this year by getting the whole church involved. Thank you
for your support!

Daytime Bible Study

EPW Daytime Study is the The Best Yes, by Lysa
Terkeurst. This six-week DVD series will be facilitated
by Hannah Stiles, and will help us to make wise decisions.
This study considers our two most important words, yes
and no. It is for those of us who feel overwhelmed with
all that we are doing, and desire to serve God where He
wants us to serve Him. Do these phrases, Im drowning in the regrets of too many commitments, and I
dread saying yes but feel powerless to say no, and I hope
theres more to life than my to-do list, and Im a little
overwhelmed and a lot worn out! sound like your life? If so, this Bible study is
for you. It will be Tuesdays at 10 a.m. beginning on October 7 and will run for
six weeks, ending on Tuesday, November 11. Sign up on the web or with Mary
Baldauf at mbaldauf@eastminsterpres.org or 256-1654. Class meets in room
E-351.
