Introduction
One must design, develop, and build a marketing plan tailored for use at a Board of Education
meeting for MASTs second research vessel. Anyone must be able to pitch the marketing proposal with
prior knowledge to the event. The marketing proposal must secure funds for a second research vessel for
MAST. The marketing plan must align with MAST values. The marketing plan must use the technology
available at the Board of Education meeting. The marketing plan must use convincing statistics. The
marketing plan must convince the Board of Education to approve funding for a second research vessel.
Each section of the marketing proposal will be tested for valid points and applicability to the real
life MAST education issues. The abstract and need statement will be tested by the Boards reaction. The
program design will be tested by engineer review. The program outcomes will be tested by the quality and
quantity of available outcomes. The budget will be tested by the accuracy of the finances. The marketing
plan as a whole is tested based on the Boards decision to approve or deny funding.
Nick Konecny will design the proposal with guidance from Professor Green, Professor Cuttrell and
business mentor Tyler Alexander. Mr. Moore will assess, revise, and present the proposal to the Board of
Education. The Board will assess the presented proposal and accept or deny the proposal.
The assessment will take place at a Board of Education meeting with review from the MCVSD
administration.
