Teacher presents the topic
of the lesson. She writes
the title on the board.

Teacher tells students that
they will watch a video in
which 10 important
inventions of all time are
presented.

Teacher plays the video.

Teacher asks students
what a time capsule is and
what is that used for.

Teacher organises the
students in groups (4-5
students) and present
them a particular situation
for the next activity.

Greetings, date, absents
The student on duty tells the
absents; the teacher writes the
absentees in the catalogue;

They are asked to watch it and
take notes about the inventions
presented.

Students listen to the recording
and take down notes.

Students are asked to say which
are the ten inventions presented
and what do they think about
their importance in our lives.

Students offer answers to the
question.

Students have to imagine they
have just discovered a time
capsule and they can send some
objects back in time to their
ancestors.

In groups students have to
negotiate their objects to come
up with a shared list of only
eight items to put in a time
capsule and send them back in
time. They should put the
objects in order according to
their importance.
