ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 includes an integrated suite of comprehensive desktop applications - ArcMap,
ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, and ArcGlobe. Using these applications and interfaces in unison, you can
perform GIS tasks, simple to advanced, including mapping, geographic analysis, data editing and
compilation, data management, visualization, and geoprocessing.

ArcGIS Desktop is scalable to meet the needs of many types of users.

ArcInfo 9.2 is a complete, professional GIS desktop, containing comprehensive GIS
functionality, including rich geoprocessing tools. The software applications include those of
ArcView and ArcEditor. In addition the full version of ArcToolbox is included, as well as the
classical components of ArcInfo Workstation, such as Arc, ArcPlot and ArcEdit. This install
requires one of two methods of registration: With a Sentinel Key (hardware dongle) attached
to the USB port of the computer, or each time the software starts, the workstation obtains a
license from a server that has the Sentinel Key.

NOTE: ArcToolbox is integrated with ArcMap & ArcCatalog. It is not a separate program.

NOTE: ArcPress and StreetMap USA are now included in core ArcGIS.

ArcGIS 9.2 requires Windows 2000, Windows XP, or certain UNIX platforms.

You will not be able to run ArcGIS 9.2 software on a computer with earlier versions of ESRI
software.

Number.
BusinessMAP is a database mapping product that you may use to visualize and
analyze data geographically. It can convert address records from contact managers,
databases, and spreadsheets to pushpin and color-filled maps. It is possible to see a
geographic picture of business data not available by reading rows and columns of
textual data.
