'ts architecture was desi)ned by $rif asood! 'tCs architecture is one of its (ind! "he bloomin) flower shape of the monument represents Pa(istanCs pro)ress as a rapidly de#elopin) country! "he four petals represent each pro#ince of Pa(istan Balochistan, Pun,ab, Sindh and ;P;, while the other three smaller petals represent +il)it Baltistan, 8$"$ and $5ad 2ammu and ;ahmir! "he session started accordin) to the scheduled time with the "alawat from Aoly Euran and was lead by the Aonourable Deputy Spea(er 8aisal ;arim ;undi! 't was a normal session in which the deputy spea(er and had a )eneral discussion with the all the embers of the 7ational assembly who were present there for the session! "he li#in) style of different areas of Pa(istan is e&hibited here in statues, pictures, pottery, music and te&tile wor(! %o( Virsa is the finest cultural museum in Pa(istan! "o ma(e this distance more feasible and recreational, the residents of this area use horses to )et a ride to the tourists and earn their li#in)! "he horses are properly trained! "he #iew of the mountains from this point is ?uiet spectacular and these ountains further ,oin the ran)e of Aimalaya ountains! 7ow ;ashmir Point is ha#in) ba5ar with #ariety of 8ood and Shoppin) Places! When we reached the ;ashmir Point, we decided to ta(e this train ride which runs on the road and ta(es the tourist to a short trip throu)h the mountains and while on its way, they (eep on tellin) about the locations passin) by to (eep them )uided! $fter ta(in) the ride, We )ot to (now that ;ashmir Point has now become a residential area as people ha#e started buyin) huts o#er there and e#ery year durin) the Summer Season, when the scotchin) heat comin) from the Sun )ets unbearable people mo#e towards this side of the country and en,oy their summer in this pleasant and peaceful en#ironment away from all the land, noise and air pollution! 18

We had our dinner at this crowded Aotel on the all 6oad and after the dinner Dr! $bdul Wa,id ;han allowed all the students to roam around the commercial ba5aar on the all 6oad so that they can roam around and buy )ifts for themsel#es and as well as for their lo#ed ones! We were all supposed to return to our hotel by . pm as we had to ma(e our ,ourney tomorrow early in the mornin) to Patriata, which is also (nown as the 7ew urree! $*=& <+TRI+T+ 4n the mornin) of -3 th of 8ebruary, we had to lea#e for Patriata! "he students failed to wa(e up accordin) to the scheduled time for the first time durin) this entire trip as they were tired because of the continuous wal(in) up and down the hills! We had our brea(fast from the restaurant near our hotel and a)ain loaded our lu))a)e on the bus as we were lea#in) for Patriata and from there, we were to mo#e bac( to 'slamabad and then to %ahore! 't had snowed hea#ily on this side of the mountains a wee( before we came and this was clearly ob#ious as all we could see was trees and mountains co#ered up with snow! <atriata is about -0193 (m south1east from the murree hills but it too( us about an hour to reach their because of the hea#y traffic on both sides of the road! We reached their around -9 am and were told that we are first to ta(e this chair lift ride to reach the other side of the mountain ran)es and then a)ain a ride of the cable car to )et to the hi)hest part of the mountains! $ #iew of the Snow Capped ountains at Patriata Valley! We reached the hi)hest part of the Aills after ta(in) the chair lift and the cable car ride! Students had 20 coffee and tea alon) with the snac( of Aot and 8resh 8ries and Pa(oras! $nd then students started ha#in) fun in the snow! While on our way, Students had an e&perience of passin) by the famous streets of the Ba5aar which were once (nown to be the Centre of all the commercial acti#ities! 't is the second bi))est press club in the country after ;arachi Press Club! "he %ahore Press Club has a total membership of .9@ and is well (nown for itCs )atherin)s with in#ited spea(ers from public life! %ahore Press Club e&ists since partition of the sub1continent while the e&istin) buildin) of %ahore Press Club was established in -..9! Shah5ad 8a5al ehmood, who is not only the librarian but is also the son of Pa(istanCs finest Seam Bowler and Captain 8a5al ehmood! $fter )oin) throu)h all sections, we went towards the conference room where we were )oin) to ha#e our meetin) with corporate structure of Pa(istan Cric(et Board, r! Da(a $shraf, Chairman PCB, r! 2a#ed 27 iandad, Director +eneral PCB and r! 'nti(hab $lam, Director of $cademicsJ Director +ame De#elopment and Director Cric(et 4perations! We had a )eneral discussion about the current scenario of Pa(istanCs Cric(et "eam! Se#eral ?uestions were raised from the studentCs side and were all answered by all of the three members of the corporate structure! $fter the discussion ended, Chairman PCB, r!
