views of the Kabini backwaters and adjacent to the Nagarhole wildlife reserve, you are

What is in store for you at Red Earth?
Red Earth is situated on the back waters of the Kabini dam; the land has water as its boundary on two sides. Red
Earth has been developed, to provide an informal and homely atmosphere to our guests, simultaneously ensuring the
quality of service is maintained at the highest level with a very personalised level of service and care.

COTTAGES



























In line with the overall concern for the environment all the buildings have been built with a
unique eco-friendly rammed earth methodology from mud minimising use of steel/cement
and concrete. All cottages are air conditioned with LCD TV, coffee / tea maker, mini fridge,
Private Jacuzzi open to the sky, sit outs & view of the Kabini River.

In keeping with our eco-policies hot water in the Jacuzzi will be available from
Morning: 08:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Evening: 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM

To encourage our guests to partake in the nature and enjoy our hospitality, we have no
intercoms in the cottages and also do not offer room service.
There is a kettle and tea bags/coffee in your cottage for the early risers.




























We spend time with every guest and then plan every meal carefully. Almost all our food is sourced
locally and much of it is organically grown. We work towards offering a very interesting combination of
cuisine from different parts of the country with an excellent global touch. Our cooking is simple and
fresh in its use of ingredients, with no compromise in the quality of products. Our high levels of
hygiene and our policy of not using MSG, soda and any colouring agent, helps us create an authentic
food experience at every meal time.

POSHINI THE RESTAURANT
Breakfast between 8am and 10am
Continental breakfast with your choice of eggs, plenty of coffee
and tea, cornflakes, home-made bread, spreads. South Indian and
North Indian breakfast items are also available.

Lunch between 1pm and 3pm
An Indian meal, complete with salads, fruit platter and dessert.

Tea & Snacks between 4pm and 5pm
Cookies/cakes/mini sandwiches
Dinner from 8pm to 10pm
The night would begin around a camp fire and liquid sustenance.
A full 4 course meal with soup, starter, main course, dessert and
coffee.

Limited A la carte menu is
available. So is child
friendly food on request.

ACTIVITIES
We have an exciting array of activities. Please do go through the list which includes the
approximate cost of each activity/guide/conveyance and the time taken for the same.
Our location offers a great advantage for multiple safari experiences from the safari gate
of Dommankatte which is just 07 kms, 15 minutes away & to Nagerhole main camp 48 kms
about an hour away, you are guaranteed a great wildlife experience.
Coracle ride: Rs.200/- per head
Bullock Cart ride: Rs.100/- per head
Safari with forest department at Dommankatte & Nagarhole main gate Rs.500/- per head for Indian nationals &
1,600/- for foreign nationals. Plus Service tax 12.6%
Safari with Jungle Lodges which is 20 kms from Red Earth is charged Rs.1,500/- for Indian nationals per head &
2,500/- for foreign nationals. Plus Service tax 12.6%

BAR
A colonial style bar with very reasonably priced beverages with a professional
snooker table.
Beers are available from Rs 100 for a bottle, a glass of wine from Rs 200, and a
large spirit based drink like whisky from Rs 90 onwards.
Red Earth has a fully fledged licensed bar and no alcohol from outside will be
permitted in the property.






Complimentary starters will be served with alcoholic drinks ordered at the
bar between 5 and 8 pm.

ZVAASTHI THE SPA
Offers Swedish massage & aroma therapy.
The Swedish massage technique involves deep tissue massage. The aroma
therapy works towards complete relaxation of the senses.

All our products from the herbs to the fruits are fresh. Our therapy oils are
produced in-house and we only use olive/coconut/almond as base oils.

Prior appointment is required for the spa for every therapy.
Keeping in mind that all our guests' are on holiday and they would all like to maximise
on their time and experience at Red Earth, we request your presence for your therapy
well in advance of your appointment. Delays may shorten your experience and time.
























TRANSPORTATION & OTHERS
Arrangement can be done on request & additional charges will be
applicable:
Airport / station transfers
Vehicle from resort to safari point (if in case own vehicle is not been used)
Transport to any neighbouring places of interest

Check in time is 12 noon and check-out time is 11 am
Pets are not allowed
Once the safari is booked, there is no refund from forest department & Subject
to any change.
Since Red Earth is close to nature, food in the rooms is discouraged.
Driver dormitory is available & costs Rs.150/- per night with breakfast, lunch
& dinner (staff food) & taxes.
Between June to August & from November to March woollen clothes can be
carried & rest of the months the temperature will be slighter higher.
