Born Again of Water And of Spirit

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto
obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
lessed be the God and Father of our !ord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath
begotten us again unto a li"ely hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
#o an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reser"ed in hea"en for you,
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last
time. 1 Peter 1:2-5
$now ye not, that so many of us as were bapti%ed into Jesus Christ were bapti%ed into his death&
#herefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead
by the glory of the Father, e"en so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we ha"e been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his
resurrection:
$nowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that
henceforth we should not ser"e sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
'ow if we be dead with Christ, we belie"e that we shall also li"e with him:
$nowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more( death hath no more dominion o"er him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he li"eth, he li"eth unto God.
!ikewise reckon ye also yoursel"es to be dead indeed unto sin, but ali"e unto God through Jesus Christ
our !ord.
!et not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
'either yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yoursel"es unto
God, as those that are ali"e from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto
God.
For sin shall not ha"e dominion o"er you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
What then shall we sin! be"ause we are not under the law! but under gra"e God forbid.

For the lo"e of Christ constraineth us( because we thus )udge, that if one died for all, then were all
dead:
*nd that he died for all, that they which li"e should not henceforth li"e unto themsel"es, but unto him
which died for them, and rose again.
+herefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we ha"e known Christ after the
flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
Born Again of Water And of Spirit
#herefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away( behold, all things
are become new.
*nd all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath gi"en to us the
ministry of reconciliation(
#o wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto
them( and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
'ow then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ,s
stead, be ye reconciled to God.
&or he hath made him to be sin for us! who knew no sin' that we might be made the righteousness
of God in him. 2 (orinthians 5:1)-21
+herefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ( that ye should be
married to another, e"en to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to
bring forth fruit unto death.
*ut now we are delivered from the law! that being dead wherein we were held' that we should
serve in newness of spirit! and not in the oldness of the letter. #omans +:-./
'icodemus saith unto him, 0ow can a man be born when he is old& can he enter the second time into
his mother,s womb, and be born&
Jesus answered, 1erily, "erily, 2 say unto thee, E3cept a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
,hat whi"h is born of the flesh is flesh' and that whi"h is born of the -pirit is spirit. .ohn %:)-$
ring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
*nd now also the a3e is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore e"ery tree which bringeth not forth
good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
2 indeed bapti%e you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than 2, whose
shoes 2 am not worthy to bear: he shall bapti%e you with the 0oly Ghost, and with fire:
Whose fan is in his hand! and he will throughly purge his floor! and gather his wheat into the
garner' but he will burn up the "haff with un/uen"hable fire. 0atthew %:11-12
$now ye not, that to whom ye yield yoursel"es ser"ants to obey, his ser"ants ye are to whom ye obey(
whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness&
ut God be thanked, that ye were the ser"ants of sin, but ye ha"e obeyed from the heart that form of
doctrine which was delivered you.
eing then made free from sin, ye became the ser"ants of righteousness.
Born Again of Water And of Spirit
2 speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye ha"e yielded your
members ser"ants to uncleanness and to ini4uity unto ini4uity( e"en so now yield your members
ser"ants to righteousness unto holiness.
For when ye were the ser"ants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
+hat fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed& for the end of those things is
death.
ut now being made free from sin, and become ser"ants to God, ye ha"e your fruit unto holiness, and
the end e"erlasting life.
&or the wages of sin is death' but the gift of God is eternal life through .esus (hrist our 2ord.

E"ery good gift and e"ery perfect gift is from abo"e, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with
whom is no "ariableness, neither shadow of turning.
7f his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his
creatures.
+herefore, my belo"ed brethren, let e"ery man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
+herefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and recei"e with meekness the
engrafted word, which is able to sa"e your souls.
*ut be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, decei"ing your own sel"es.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural fa"e in
a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
ut whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful
hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
2f any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but decei"eth his own heart,
this man,s religion is "ain.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the &ather is this! ,o visit the fatherless and widows
in their affli"tion! and to keep himself unspotted from the world. .ames 1:1+-2+

+herein ye greatly re)oice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in hea"iness through manifold
temptations:
#hat the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried
with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
+hom ha"ing not seen, ye lo"e( in whom, though now ye see him not, yet belie"ing, ye re)oice with
)oy unspeakable and full of glory:
8ecei"ing the end of your faith, e"en the sal"ation of your souls.
7f which sal"ation the prophets ha"e en4uired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace
that should come unto you:
-ear"hing what! or what manner of time the -pirit of (hrist whi"h was in them did signify! when
it testified beforehand the sufferings of (hrist! and the glory that should follow. 1 Peter 1:+-11
'ow we, brethren, as 2saac was, are the children of promise.
ut as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the -pirit, e"en so it
is now.
4evertheless what saith the s"ripture (ast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the

9nto whom it was re"ealed, that not unto themsel"es, but unto us they did minister the things, which
are now reported unto you by them that ha"e preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent
down from heaven( which things the angels desire to look into.
+herefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the gra"e that is to be
brought unto you at the re"elation of Jesus Christ(
*s obedient children, not fashioning yoursel"es according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
ut as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of con"ersation(
ecause it is written, e ye holy( for 2 am holy.
*nd if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons )udgeth according to e"ery man,s work,
pass the time of your so)ourning here in fear:
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as sil"er and gold, from your
"ain con"ersation recei"ed by tradition from your fathers(
ut with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
+ho "erily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times
for you,
Who by him do believe in God! that raised him up from the dead! and gave him glory' that your
faith and hope might be in God. 1 Peter 1:12-21

ut after that the kindness and lo"e of God our Sa"iour toward man appeared,
'ot by works of righteousness which we ha"e done, but according to his mercy he sa"ed us, by the
washing of regeneration, and renewing of the 0oly Ghost(
+hich he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Sa"iour(
#hat being )ustified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
,his is a faithful saying! and these things 5 will that thou affirm "onstantly! that they whi"h have

2 beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a li"ing sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable ser"ice.
*nd be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
pro"e what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
&or 5 say! through the gra"e given unto me! to every man that is among you! not to think of

every man the measure of faith. #omans 12:1-%
Seeing ye ha"e purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned lo"e of the
brethren, see that ye lo"e one another with a pure heart fer"ently:
eing born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which li"eth and
abideth for e"er.
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. #he grass withereth, and the
flower thereof falleth away:
*ut the word of the 2ord endureth for ever. 6nd this is the word whi"h by the gospel is prea"hed
unto you. 1 Peter 1:22-25
*nd this is lo"e, that we walk after his commandments. #his is the commandment, #hat, as ye ha"e
heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
For many decei"ers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
#his is a decei"er and an antichrist.
!ook to yoursel"es, that we lose not those things which we ha"e wrought, but that we recei"e a full
reward.
+hosoe"er transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. 0e that abideth in the
doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

2f there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, recei"e him not into your house, neither bid
him God speed:
&or he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 .ohn 1:$-11
ehold, what manner of lo"e the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of
God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
elo"ed, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him( for we shall see him as he is.
*nd e"ery man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, e"en as he is pure.
+hosoe"er committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
*nd ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins( and in him is no sin.
+hosoe"er abideth in him sinneth not: whosoe"er sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
!ittle children, let no man decei"e you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, e"en as he is righteous.
0e that committeth sin is of the de"il( for the de"il sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the
Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the de"il.
+hosoe"er is born of God doth not commit sin( for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.
2n this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the de"il: whosoe"er doeth not
righteousness is not of God, neither he that lo"eth not his brother.
&or this is the message that ye heard from the beginning! that we should love one another.
