The soul ....
The spiritual spark in the human being ....
The human soul is the unifiation of ountless soul!substanes
"hih are assembl# points for spiritual strength$ i.e. "hih are
reeptales for the spirit of God. %ah one of these ountless
substanes "as pre&iousl# embodied some"here else$ that is$
enlosed in an outer form for the purpose of the spirit's higher
de&elopment and for the prospet of later unifiation "ith an
e(ual substane.
)ene eah single substane of the human soul has passed
though e&er# "ork of reation and has$ so to speak$ matured for
its last embodiment on earth.
The soul al"a#s assumes the same shape as its surrounding
outer shape .... *f a person "ith spiritual &ision "ould
ontemplate the human soul in its omposition he "ould be
presented "ith an inredibl# harming and &aried piture. This
"ork of God's reation$ in&isible to human beings$ is be#ond
desription$ both in its struture as "ell as in its usefulness.
But a desription of the formation of the soul "ould onl# onfuse
human thought for he annot understand the ountless mirales
"ithin the human bod#. What human beings understand to be
+soul' is all of reation in miniature. The soul is the innermost
part of the human being and inludes the "hole of reation ....
intended to beome enlightened during its life on earth and in
glorifiation of God to en,o# the delights of hea&en.
The soul has the divine spirit within itself. -lthough the
original substane of the soul is also spirit in all its phases of
e&olution .... the di&ine spark of spirit is plaed into the
inarnating soul of the human being b# God )imself .... )e instils
)is breath into the human being .... )e plaes the di&ine into him
and gi&es the soul the task to hose bet"een the di&ine and the
human during its last e.istene on earth.
*f the soul .... the spirit out of God which at one time had
opposed God .... is no" "illing to unite "ith the di&ine spirit$
the transformation of "hat "as one far a"a# from God begins
and the human soul beomes enlightened.
The unit# of the human soul "ith the di&ine spirit ours "hen
the soul steadfastl# o&eromes all human desires$ "hih$ for the
purpose of testing and for strengthening of the "ill$ ling to the
human bod# as temptation .... "hen it resists all that the bod# as
suh re(uires and "illingl# submits to the re(uirements of the
di&ine spirit.
Then the soul finall# surrenders its former resistane to God. *t
hooses God$ it is no longer in onsious opposition to the di&ine
and aepts the emission of lo&e$ the strength$ to inrease the
spirit "ithin itself$ to bring about the unit# of the spirit "ithin
itself "ith the spirit outside of itself$ and thus onsiousl# stri&es
to dra" loser to God.
*f$ ho"e&er$ the bod#'s desire dominates then the di&ine spark of
spirit sta#s dormant and ompletel# buried deep "ithin the
human being$ it annot emit light and the soul d"ells in utter
darkness. *ts earthl# life goes b# "ithout the smallest
aomplishment/ the spirit "ithin is ondemned to stagnate$ its
earthl# proess is not a path to"ards higher de&elopment but a
time of standstill or e&en regression.
The di&ine spark of spirit in the human being had been ignored
and therefore ould not manifest itself. The strength of di&ine
lo&e ould not flo" into the being and$ as a result$ the unit# "ith
the spirit of the eternal Father ould not take plae either.
The soul takes this lightless state$ "hih it had hosen for itself
on earth$ aross into eternit# and there$ "ith endless pain of
regret$ ontemplates the "asted time on earth and no" has to
struggle far more strenuousl# to impro&e its situation ....
