I read your job posting for an Executive Assistant to the COO with interest. This opportunity is
very appealing to me and I believe my proven administrative ability with a high standard of
organisational and planning skills will make me a prime candidate for this position.

I am currently employed at Tourism Australia as the Global Public Relations Coordinator for the
Global Public Relations Team. My role is to support the Global Public Relations Manager and the
various functions within the team which comprise of Public Relations, Advocacy and International
Media Hosting Program.

My duties include monitoring and managing the Global Public Relations Manager’s inbox,
organising meetings and appointments, travel coordination, credit card reconciliation, invoice
processing and payments, input of budgets into the budget management system, expenditure
sheet reconciliation, coordination of teleconferences with regional offices, minute taking and
updating the media website.

My role is also responsible for organising the Public Relations Conference, liasing with tourism
operators and State Tourism Organisations, updating the global contact list and responding to
research requests received from the Global team.

Previously I was employed with Everest Financial Group Limited (formerly Everest Babcock &
Brown), as the Executive Assistant for the Corporate Development & Strategy team.

I was the primary point of contact for the COO/Head of Corporate Development. I managed his
busy schedule and emails, coordinated meetings, updated contacts in outlook, prepared
documents and reports and reconciled credit card expenses.
My role also provided assistance to the Company Secretary. It was my responsibility to compile
papers for the board and committee meeting and ensure that board papers were sent out to the
board members in a timely fashion. I also liaised with the directors of the board and assisted them
with their queries as required.
My role also required me to assist with compliance issues. I lodged ASX & SGX announcements
and ASIC forms. I coordinated the internal and external compliance committee papers,
documents for audits and monitored training of all staff. I also maintained the company books and
records and the legal filing system.
My role also supported the Communications Manager which included organising events &
conferences, maintaining the company website and intranet and the preparation of PowerPoint
presentations.
Prior to my employment with Everest I was employed as a Settlements Team Assistant with ING
Direct. My role was to provide administrative support to the settlements team within the Retail
Mortgage Group. I was the first point of contact for queries in relation to settlement of loans. I was
in charge of the spreadsheet of loans to be settled and it was my duty to record certifications
received from banks solicitors and allocate the deals to the settlement officers. It was my duty to
ensure that all booking sheets and certifications were received from the solicitors prior to
settlement day and followed up solicitors for late booking sheets and certifications. I assisted with
the preparation of settlement letters and retrieved loan files from the filing room. I was also
responsible to clear the group’s inbox on a regular basis and reviewed the contents and
responded where necessary and forwarded email correspondence onto the relevant person
within the team or company. I also reconciled discrepancies in settlements and resolved issues in
workflow.
I also worked with Unilever Australasia as a Data Verifier. My role was to support the Sales
Information Systems Analyst in sales projects, budget management and sales analytics within the
promotional marketing team. My duties included researching and collating data to update the
company’s database and compiled and gathered information for reporting. I also provided
secretarial support including typing, filing, photocopying and any other ad hoc duties when
requested.
I have a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of New South Wales and majored in
International Business and Korean.
