Solvin" for the zeros of uadratic functions is limited to uadratic e,%ressions
that are factorable! Ho$ever# there is another method that $or&s for uadratic
e,%ressions that are factorable or not! This method is called the method of com%letin"
the suare!
The %rinci%le behind the use of com%letin" the suare is to %roduce a %erfect
suare trinomial so that the suare root %ro%erty can be a%%lied!
