REGARDING: PROJECT COURSES
Dear MOHAMMED SHAMROUKH (2013A4PS208U),
We are extending the facility to apply for project type courses for the next semester (FIRST SEMESTER 2014-15) .
Project courses available are
1. Special Project - only respective discipline eligible
2. Lab Project
3. Study Project
4. Design Projects
The students have to apply electronically through the Institute's INTRANET portal (http://www.bits-
dubai.ac.ae/INTRANET). The list of project under different courses is available on the portal. You are requested to
give 20 options in order of your preference. For the first preference of the project, students are advised to meet
the faculty and obtain the consent in the prescribed form (enclosed). You have to enter the project numbers only.
You have to give preferences online by 20/05/2014 and submit the project consent form (if any) to the concerned
faculty by 20/05/2014. Faculty members are requested to submit the form to the Project Coordinator.
To login and give your Project preferences online, please follow these instructions:
1. Open http://www.bits-dubai.ac.ae/intranet/ in the updated versions of Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.
2. Click student link in the left sidebar, the login screen for Intranet will appear

3. Click on the "Project Preferences for Ist Semester 2014-15".
4. Enter your preferences of projects from the list and submit.
Guidelines to the students:
1. All students are required to fill their project preferences online by due date. Failure to do so will result in random
project assignment from the available projects left after allotting projects to all applicants.
2. If a student does not want to do any project, he/she may take other courses as elective, subject to availability
and no time table clash.
3. A student may be permitted to do two project courses as elective.
4. No student will be allotted two similar project courses in the same semester.
5. No student will be permitted to do two projects under the same instructor in the same semester.
6. If a student already has a valid grade in a project course is not permitted to do the same course again.

the aspirants of a discipline consistent with project totality of BITS &
to enhance and evaluate its growth potential. The projects will aim to
meet new unknown situations.
