First of all thanks to Almighty Allah that I am still alive to write this research paper in this
restless political situation. Then I would like to thank both of my English 105 teachers Dil Afroze
Qader (DAQ) and Dr. Deena P Forkan (DF) who have corrected and guided me throughout the
semester to improve skills in English and write a better research paper.
I would like to my thank my younger sister Adila Zaheen and cousin for counting and dictating
the survey answers for data input. Also, I would like to thank my cousin for the last minute print
outs so that I submit my research papers on time.
Finally, I would like to thank all those 30 people who spend their precious time on answering my
survey questions and gave their valuable opinions and suggestions which helped me to complete
a reliable research paper.

Abstract
Few years back no one had any idea what traffic congestion was but during the last two years it
has become a major problem in most people's life. Believe it or not it is becoming a huge
obstacle for the economic growth as it is slowing down our everyday pace in work. I believe to
get out of the crisis situation, we need to change ourselves first by obeying traffic rules. Most of
us lose out temper and do mistakes in the traffic jam. We are so lazy that we like to sit for hours
in traffic jam but not walk or cycle, which are also proved throughout the survey. All the
uneducated bus drivers and truck drivers do not drive on their own lanes rather drive on the
middle. These uneducated people are the main reasons of traffic congestion, they are also
responsible for causing accidents. Traffic rules of Bangladesh are not implemented strictly. This
is what all people take advantage of and do whatever they want on roads since they do not have
to worry for punishment as most traffic police are also corrupt. So, to change the system each
and everyone has to change.
