A Lesson Plan in Technology and Livelihood Education

I. Objectives:
After this lesson through the use of Project Method, the students will be able to:
a. Discover the nutritive value of malunggay
b. Appreciate the value of the inexpensive, nutritious malunggay
c. Create a recipe that uses malunggay as the main ingredient
d. Plan and organize a feeding program

III. Materials
A copy of an article from the journal of BIOlife
A copy of the song Makulay ang Buhay
Pictures of Malunggay
Kitchen Utensils from the HE Laboratory

IV. Procedure
A. Purposing
a. The teacher will play the song Makulay ang Buhay to the whole class.
b. After listening, the teacher will give time to the students on sharing the experiences about cooking
and marketing.
c. Review: The nutrients that the class has studied.
B. Planning
a. The teacher will then give the article to the class for them to read and analyze.
(See attached paper for the article.)
b. The teacher will then raise this question: What are the newly researched vegetables that are
inexpensive but nutritious? If one of the students made mention of malunggay then the teacher will
proceed.
c. Talk about the importance of malunggay and its health benefits.
d. Planning and Organizing the Feeding Program
C. Executing
a. Application of Concepts Learned: Cooking munggo beans, malunggay leaves with gata.

D. Evaluation
a. Paper- Pencil Test
