Message
It is good to know that the IIHMR University, Jaipur is organising an
International Conference on Innovations in Goverance and Strategies : Reimaging
Healthcare India on September 20-21.
To cater for the healthcare needs of all in our country we need affordable health
care facilities. Events such as this provide a good forum for health care leaders and
professionals to share best practices, to exchange ideas and discuss strategies on
how to provide better health care services to the poor and marginalised, and how to
make health care delivery more efficient.
I am sure that the discussions during the conference willl lead to concreate
suggestions on how to improve the standards and efficiency of health care services,
I wish IIHMR the very best on the occasion.

I am pleased to know that IIHMR University, Jaipur is organizing 19th Pradanya
an International Conference on Innovations in Governance and Strategies :
Reimaging Healthcare India on September 20-21, 2014
Public Health Professionals have played important roles in the significant
progress made by India in the health sector including the control of communicable
diseases. Eradication of small pox and guinea worm diseases has already been
achieved while measles and polio are targeted for eradication in the near future.
However, emergence of new diseases like HIV/AIDS, SARS, and Hanta virus
pulmonary syndrome, West Nile virus, Ebola as well as lifestyle diseases are a big
challenging meeting which will require concerted efforts of all stakeholders with
public health professionals being the guiding force.
Active participation of public health professionals in the two major initiatives in
the health sector viz. National Health Mission and Integrated Diseases Surveillance
Project will be critical. There are several initiatives being undertaken in the field on
non-communicable diseases also. I am sure that IIHMR University, Jaipur will play a
key role in these programmes as well other National Health Programmes.

Conference on Innovations in Governance & Strategies: Reimaging Healthcare
India.

I hope this conference will provide a positive direction to future healthcare
professionals in giving a new image to healthcare industry of India covering all the
aspects of health, hospitals and pharmaceutical management. The event will bring
awareness and widen the understanding of students and faculty members of
