(ll re"uired in$ormation must %e provided to Measurement Canada. 394 =nsuring that all setups& pre)testing& cali%ration& and trou%leshooting is per$ormed prior to the re"uest $or certi$ication o$ a gas measuring apparatus. 3:4 #roviding to Measurement Canada& completed orksheets& providing o%Cective evidence that all re"uirements o$ the Speci$ication are met& prior to an6 certi$ication tests per$ormed %6 Measurement Canada inspectors. 3<4 =nsuring that the scope o$ certi$ication o$ an6 gas measuring apparatus is limited to those meter t6pes identi$ied on the statement intended use. ?t is the responsi%ilit6 o$ the oner o$ the gas measuring apparatus to in$orm the local o$$ice o$ Measurement Canada i$ the apparatus ill %e re"uired to per$orm veri$ication tests %e6ond the scope o$ its certi$ication. Measurement Canada ill determine hat& i$ an6& additional certi$ication tests are re"uired to %e per$ormed prior to the scope o$ the gas measuring apparatus certi$ication %eing e7panded. ?$ re"uired& Measurement Canada ill per$orm additional certi$ication tests& prior to the issuance o$ a revised certi$icate in accordance ith Speci$ication S)')-1)=. 3/4 =nsuring that all certi$icates and certi$ication orksheets are retained $or the period o$ certi$ication o$ the gas measuring apparatus. Speci$ication S)')-1)= must %e readil6 availa%le henever the apparatus is %eing used $or veri$ication testing during the course o$ its certi$ication period. 304 Maintaining the certi$ied apparatus in good repair and operating order& %oth electricall6 and mechanicall6. 3A4 Maintaining a log %ook $or the gas measuring apparatus. .etails o$ all certi$ication& cali%ration& correlation& maintenance and repairs must %e documented in the log %ook. 8he log %ook must %e made availa%le to Measurement Canada upon re"uest. 3@4 ?n$orming the local o$$ice o$ Measurement Canada& in riting& immediatel6 a$ter an6 repairs or adCustment are per$ormed. 8his ill include all minor repairs that could a$$ect an6 settings that ere esta%lished hile pre$orming the certi$ication tests. Measurement Canada ill determine i$ an6 additional certi$ication tests are re"uired as a result o$ the repairs or adCustments. 8his decision ill %e made %6 the local o$$ice o$ Measurement Canada& in consultation ith the !egional 'as Specialist andBor =ngineeringBLa%orator6 .ivision& i$ re"uired. 31-4 ?n$orming the local o$$ice o$ Measurement Canada& in riting& prior to an6 modi$ication or relocation o$ the gas measuring apparatus. 8his ill include relocation to a di$$erent area on the premises or to another premises. 8his includes an6 maCor repairs or replacement o$ parts. Measurement Canada ill evaluate the e7tent that the modi$ication& the potential a$$ect3s4 upon the certi$ication o$ the gas measuring apparatus and the e7tent to hich additional certi$ication tests must %e per$ormed. 8his decision ill %e made %6 the local o$$ice o$ Measurement Canada& in consultation ith the !egional 'as Specialist andBor =ngineeringBLa%orator6 .ivision. Measurement Canada ma6 limit the scope o$ certi$ication o$ a certi$ied gas measuring apparatus %e$ore alloing the oner to proceed ith the stated modi$ication. 3114 #roviding trans$er meters o$ su$$icient sta%ilit6 and repeata%ilit6 to per$orm all tests re"uired %6 this Speci$ication. (n6 testing re"uired to guarantee this re"uirement %eing met shall %e per$ormed %6 the oner. 3124 ( complete set o$ operating instructions $or the apparatus to %e certi$ied must %e made availa%le to the Measurement Canada inspector prior to certi$ication testing. 8hese instructions must %e o$ su$$icient detail to allo the inspector to %e $amiliar ith the operation o$ the apparatus. 3194 #roviding a suita%le leak test apparatus $or use to determine the leak test detection capa%ilities o$ the gas measuring apparatus. 8he oner shall provide the necessar6 calculations re$erenced to the local volumetric standard or other certi$ied standards to prove the oner supplied leak test apparatus meets the speci$ied re"uirements. 0*1*- #tatement of intended use9 ( statement o$ intended use must accompan6 the certi$ication re"uest $orm listed in the procedures. 8he documentation re"uirements are listed in S)')-1)=. )*0 Procdures for Assessing Metrological &e'uirements )*1 General )*1*1 #cope 8o ensure that all metrological re"uirements descri%ed in S)')-1)= are in compliance prior to the commencement o$ the certi$ication testing. )*1*, Worsheet Pacage 8he $irst step in the certi$ication testing process is to produce a complete set o$ orksheets $or each gas measuring apparatus to %e tested. 8he orksheet set is reproduced in the anne7 o$ these procedures. Folloing are speci$ic instructions $or completing the $orms5 314 =ach orksheet is identi$ied ith to headers. 8he top header identi$ies the document& the revision date and the num%ered header $or each sheet. 8his header aids in locating and using the correct sheet $or the testing %eing completed. 324 8he second header is used to customi,e the orksheet package to the gas measuring apparatus %eing tested. 8he second header must %e completed $or each sheet as testing proceeds. 8his header allos $or the use o$ multiple pages o$ the same orksheet as ill %e re"uired to document the same test $or di$$erent meter t6pes. For e7ample& the orksheet $or $lo rate testing contains su$$icient area $or 1 meter t6pe. ?$ 12 di$$erent meter t6pes are to %e testing& 11 additional copies o$ that orksheet must %e produced $or inclusion in the package. 8he completed original and additional sheets are placed in the package and num%ered& shoing the orksheet page and total num%er o$ pages in that section.
