Thesis Title: The Wind People: A Historical and Grammatical Introduction to The Extinct Kanza Indian
Language I constructed an introductory grammar in a teachable format of Kanza, an extinct Siouan dialect.
The grammar was presented to the Kaw Tribal Council in Kaw City, Oklahoma to be used in their
elementary school’s Kanza language revitalization program.
