Job Description
Responsibilities of Senior Piping Engineer will include, but not limited to:
1. Prepare discipline Work Instructions for ongoing projects.
2. Support Manager in preparing Company Procedures and Plans.
3. Establish an archive of information and library for Offshore & Marine Piping Engineering and
Design.
4. Support Manager in setting up a plane for development of engineering capabilities in KOMM
in 10 years look ahead.
5. Set up the training plan to develop the engineering skill and experience of engineers to make
sure that they can perform the Conceptual Design / FEED / Detail Design.
6. Manage and control all piping engineering works and assigned personnel to ensure that the
personnel perform proper work within allocated budget and schedule.
7. Perform engineering conceptual, FEED, detail design and calculations. Initiates and reviews
material lists, data sheets, specifications and design reports.
8. Initiate and review enquiry, evaluates quotations and prepares technical bid evaluation and
recommendation.
9. Provides technical assistance to on-site fabrication, hook-up, commissioning and start-up
activities, as required.
10. Function as lead piping engineer when nominated by Manager / Section head.
11. Technically assist Procurement Department in project bidding, procuring equipment,
materials and services within the scope of piping discipline.
12. Establish contact with Client and Clients third parties to ensure all requirements are
understood and communicated.
13. Perform other related piping engineering works as assigned by the Manager and as per
project requirements.
14. Report to Project Management regarding project status, resource allocation, change
management and other aspects when nominated as a Lead Engineer.
15. Co-ordinate with other disciplines required for the smooth execution of the project.

Requirements
1. Minimum Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
2. Minimum 8 years experience in Oil & Gas Engineering as a Piping Designer / Engineer /
Leader / Manager in Oil & Gas Engineering Company.
3. At least 5 years experience as a Piping Engineer / Lead Engineer in Offshore Projects.
4. Excellence in piping engineering problem solving.
5. Capable of using software related to piping engineering calculation / modeling and
engineering management work.
6. Should exhibit good leadership abilities and communication skills.
7. Ability to train and guide the team towards successful project completion and professional
development.
