A D&D 5e Encounter in which a new sort of dungeon feature and a new creature are met. What happens is very much in the hands of the PCs.
This was originally written on the WotC D&D 5e Boards in regards to a plan to eliminate Ability Score Boosts and to rely upon magical events to raise them, as per the Old School.
