Todays youth is experiencing severe under-employment:
The youth unemployment rate is double that of the national average.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Young people who have no exposure to career opportunities are
likely to settle for low paying, non-engaging jobs like flipping burgers. Demanding lots more from
schools wont work; they already are overloaded. Creating dedicated mentoring programs for a few
select career-disadvantaged students is expensive and ignores the majority of youth in need. The
