 INTRODUCTION & TITLE OF
THE PROJECT
We are going through an information age, One in which the management

of information resources of organization will be of vital importance.

Business information systems are systems that use these resources to

convert data into the information in order to increase and improve

productivity as well as to improve end-user’s (customer) experience.

Some inventions completely change the way we live. One such example is

the invention of Airplanes. As we know the importance of Aviation

industry in this time it is the one of the most fast-growing industries.

This project is completely based on the management of an Aviation

(Airlines) Company and can be implemented in any such organization. As

it is the product based software and will prove user friendly for almost all

type of Aviation Company so we have selected the title of the project -

“AVIATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”

“AVIATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is totally based on the management

of the Aviation Company. This S/W keeps track of various part of the

company like Domestic Flight and International Flight, Customers

(Corporate and Individual) Ticket Reservation Department, HR

Department that keep records of company’s employees, Flight Scheduling

Department and Maintenance Department etc. There are so many classes

are available in the each flight according to affordability of customers like

Executive Class, Economy Class, Business Class, VIP and Diplomat

Class. This S/W deals with the database management system of the flow

of Data/Information.

It has very attractive and easy Graphical User Interface that will make its

user work so efficiently and easily. This S/W has been coded in VB.NET

programming language. This S/W is very easy to operate. Even a person

having less knowledge of computers can easily operate the Software. Its

backend is Ms SQL Server 2000.

 OBJECTIVES OF THE
PROJECT

The Main Objective of the Project is to improve the management

capabilities of the firm as well as to improve customer experience. As we

know that this is the time of competition and no compromise can be done

as long as customer service is concerned. This S/W is designed to provide

all necessary information about Company, this project as to manage

information about the Customers and staff. It is very necessary to store

information of whole Management i.e. customer information, staff

information and also other information about the Company. Therefore a

logical & physical storage was needed to store the information of the

Company. This S/W also maintains the records of Status of the Flights,

Customer, staff details, and etc. It also maintains the information of each

flying or non flying staff. We can find or search particular records of

employees his status or current position.

It handles the record of all planes or flights that at what time

which flight take off to which state. And at what time the flight arrive to

airport. It also manages the record of pilot that on which flight particular

pilot is present. And on which flight how many numbers of pilots are

present. It keeps the records of all pilots, airhostess, crew members and

other employees working on the airport. It also keeps the record that on

particular state flight the no. of seats are reserved and how many seats

are blank for the reservation. It also manages the record of attendance

that how many pilots, airhostess, and other employees are present and

how many are absent and what’s the reason for their leave and on the

place of absent pilot which pilot duty signed.

It keeps the records of all pilots, airhostess, and other employee

working on the airport. Means information about all the staff that what’s

their name, address, phone no, date of birth etc.

To achieve this Objective this Project Synopsis has been developed.

• Maintain Staff attendance information.

• Maintain the Staff Salary information.

• Generate reports

• Maintain the record of customers

• Maintain the record of Ticketing

• Maintain the record of Flight Scheduling

• Maintain the record of periodic turnover of the company

 EXISTING SYSTEM
Existing system is also computerized but It was not still be able to fulfill

complete requirement of organization.

Actually there are mainly four departments those are following

• Air Ticket Reservation.

• Human Resource Department.

• Flight Scheduling Department.

• Maintenance Department.

In existing system management has to deals with four different software.

To setup coordination between these four distinct software is really a

difficult task. With this kind of existing system organization is not able to

utilize its resources. Problems of existing system are described below

1. Less User Friendly: The existing system is less user friendly

Because the retrieval of data is very slow and data is not

maintained efficiently. It does not contain centralized database.

2. Time consuming: As the existing system has not any proper

communications among the four distinct modules of software so to

retrieve the prescribed data is less automated. It takes more processing

time.

3. Cost Factor: As we already know organization works on four

completely different software to maintain these software it is difficult task

for organization. So there is a lack of economical feasibility.

4. Lack of Flexibility: This existing system is not flexible at all. It is

quite hard to customize it with according to the requirement and a little

bit change in the system take a lot of efforts.

5. Innovation is required : This existing system was designed according

to the scenario of past time but now a lot of new changes came into the

system. So there is a need to innovate this existing system.

 PROPOSED SYSTEM

Today one cannot afford to rely on the fallible human beings of be really

wants to stand against today’s merciless competition where not to wise

saying “to err is human” no longer valid, it’s outdated to rationalize your

mistake. So, to keep pace with time, to bring about the best result

without malfunctioning and greater efficiency so to replace the unending

heaps of flies with a much sophisticated hard disk of the computer. One

has to use the data management software. Software has been an ascent

in atomization various organizations. Many software products working

are now in markets, which have helped in making the organizations work

easier and efficiently.

Data management initially had to maintain a lot of ledgers and a lot of

paper work has to be done but now software product on this organization

has made their work faster and easier. Now only this software has to be

loaded on the computer and work can be done. This prevents a lot of time

and money. The work becomes fully automated and any information

regarding the organization can be obtained by clicking the button.

Moreover, now it’s an age of computers of and automating such an

organization gives the better look.

Proposed system will be single software that will handle all the

department of organization. We can say that this single software handles

complete management of the organization.

Goals of proposed system are describe below:-

1. Planned approach towards working: - The working in the

organization will be well planned and organized. The data will be stored

properly, which will help in retrieval of information as well as its storage

efficiently. The working protocol is able to monitor the central objective

and goal of the system.

2. Accuracy: - The level of accuracy in the proposed system will be

higher. All operation would be done correctly and it ensures that

whatever information is coming from the system is accurate.

3. Reliability: - The reliability of the proposed system will be high due to

the above stated reasons. The reason for the increased reliability of the

system is that now there is a centralized database and proper backup

facility.

4. No Redundancy: - In the proposed system we take special care about

the redundancy. No information is repeated during storage as we are

using normalized database. This would assure economic use of storage

space and consistency in the data stored.

5. Immediate retrieval of information: - The main objective of proposed

system is to provide for a quick and efficient retrieval of information. Any

type of information would be available whenever the user requires.

6. Easy to Operate: - The system is user friendly and even a person

having a little knowledge of computer can easily operate.
