Driving habits are changing that is a fact. Encouraged by the media, manufacturers and authorities, the concept of eco-driving is gaining ground every day. More relaxed,
cleaner driving, lower fuel consumption and less vehicle wear: the arguments in favour of eco-driving are plentiful. And the results speak for themselves: Eco-driving
produces average fuel savings of 5 to 10%! With eco

driving, fuel consumption and CO
2
emissions can be cut by 25% (depending on the driving conditions and driving
style of motorist).
Eco-driving comes as second nature to the Renault Clio. Its innovative technology gives each driver even greater control over fuel consumption and CO

STOP & START
Automatically turns off the engine when the Renault Clio is stopped and in

engines with increased levels of acceleration. With temporary additional
torque and power, the Overboost allows more responsive starts from take-off

WHEN TECHNOLOGY SERVES
PERFORMANCE
The Renaultsport Monitor v2 is a unique performance tracking system providing the
driver with real-time data. Available across the Renaultsport range, the system takes its
inspiration directly from technology employed in motor sport and, until now, seen only on a
small number of prestige road cars.
The Renaultsport Monitor v2 collects data through a series of sensors and drivers can
scroll through the systems different functions using the steering wheel mounted controls.
Information shown on the main dashboard display covers:
data for the main engine functions including oil temperature and brakes plus real-time
engine performance data (torque, power)
transverse and longitudinal g-force
lap timer, with memory function
performance data, such as acceleration times
On Clio, the Renaultsport Monitor v2 also enables the driver to modify the throttle pedal
mapping. With the 'Sport' mode selected in the Renaultsport Dynamic Management
system there is a choice of fve throttle settings (linear, normal, snow, sport and extreme).
These will adapt the cars acceleration characteristics to the conditions or to the drivers
demands. In addition, the gap between the up-shift warning bleep and the rev-limiter can
be adjusted in 50rpm increments from zero to 2000rpm.
