SAP Business One Data Transfer Workbench is a migration tool that enables you to transfer data from
your legacy system into SAP Business One. This document describes how to install SAP Business
One Data Transfer Workbench.

Prerequisites
You have installed the SAP Business One DI API.
Not e
If you have installed the SAP Business One client, the DI API is included in the
installation, so you do not need to install it separately. In this case, the first time you use
Data Transfer Workbench, the client must be open to enable the DI API to load.
You have a local area network connection from your workstation to the SAP Business One
server.
You have an SAP Addons license from SAP.
For more information about licensing, see the SAP Business One License Guide document,
which you can download from the documentation area of the SAP Business One Customer
Portal (http://service.sap.com/smb/sbocustomer/documentation).
To install Data Transfer Workbench on a workstation, make sure you have the following
minimum hardware and software requirements for the workstation:
Processor: Intel

Pentium
Memory: 128 MB RAM
Display: 24-bit color display
Free hard disk: 500 MB available storage space
OS: Microsoft

Windows XP; Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista; Windows Server

Procedure
...
1. Get the Data Transfer Workbench installation package from the SAP Business One product CD
or download it from SAP Service Marketplace.
2. Run the setup.exe file.
3. In the welcome window, choose the Next button.
4. In the Select Destination Folder window, specify the installation path and choose the Next
button.
5. In the Select Program Folder window, specify the program folder and choose the Next button.
6. In the Review Settings window, review the settings you have made.
To continue, choose the Next button.
The Data Transfer Workbench setup process begins.
To change the settings, choose the Back button to return to the previous steps.
7. When the setup process is completed, choose the Finish button.
You have installed Data Transfer Workbench.
8. To check the installation, from the Microsoft Windows taskbar, choose Start All Programs
SAP Business One Data Migration.
The Data Migration folder contains three items: Data Transfer Workbench, Documentation, and
Templates.

Result
You can now launch Data Transfer Workbench.
To access Data Transfer Workbench, from the Microsoft Windows taskbar, choose Start All
Programs SAP Business One Data Migration Data Transfer Workbench.

To uninstall Data Transfer Workbench, use the Microsoft Windows Add/Remove Programs function.
