Department of Business Management , Management stream for the purpose of exploring possibilities of Experiential earning and !utbound Training for MB" and Post #raduate diploma courses the $ay $e are doing it at %eling&ars 'ollege. (ust in order to corroborate fe$ facts about myself, 'urrently ) am engaged by $eling&ars institute of management studies, for conducting ectures and Training sessions on Experiential earning and !utbound Training for full time and part time MB" students and for Distant earning Program ,Post #raduate Diploma and Degree students. %eling&ars is the only Management 'ollege to have introduced these Training Programs in their regular curriculum* in fact they are pioneers in this +eld. )n most of the European countries and in ,- and ,., this sort of training is part of )nduction, before any post graduate course or before /oining any corporate, essentially it is infused $ith series of intervie$s aspirant must go through. #eneral system for implementation of Experiential earning and Teambuilding )nitiatives goes li&e this. 0. %hen college inducts fresh students for MB" degree courses, as a part of series of di1erent intervie$s and group discussions they must undergo !utbound training 2Team building event for 0 day prior to +nal 'onvention. 3This small 0 day session enhances )ce brea&ing, #roup bonding, 4eel at home feeling at ne$ campus, and in some special $ay students feel 5elated to )nstitution.6 7. %hen college admits students for Distance earning Program3 'orrespondence6 , other than $hile admission and examinations students really don8t have any contact $ith college, in %eling&ars these are the students o1ered Experiential earning program of t$o days in college campus , in fact it is Mandatory for DP students to attend this 7 days program, an ex9uisite 'erti+cate of Experiential earning 2Team Building is given at the end of program.3 This enhances students interaction and &no$ho$ of college sta1 improves a lot, $hich help them feel very much part of the college.6 :. 4or part time MB" students full;<edged !utbound Training is conducted once a year, again this training is compulsory and valid certi+cate is issued at the end of program.3 This program is essentially conducted in !utdoor ambiance.6 =. 4or all other streams %eling&ar o1ers "dventure based Management Development 2Personal development programs in the form of Tre&s, "dventure camps, "dventure based Pro/ect Management etc. >. eadership seminars3 leadership in ?utshell6, Team $or&3 Together; %e6, )nnovation 3)nno; %e6, #roup Dynamics3.ynergy6, ?egotiation s&ills3 Bar; #ain6, .oft s&ills development3 Better;%e6, Better tomorro$3%e;@ision6 ,Motivation3Moti1.6,these are fe$ programs that fall under our territory, &ind of AEnd ProductsB that $e are using extensively for past : years at %eling&ars )nstitute of Management. 4or past one and half year ) am conducting the !MDP and EP programs for Distant earning2MB";full time and part time students. ) am loo&ing out for more innovative, creative, experimental friendly and challenging atmosphere to unleash my creative inputs and to utiliCe my 7= years of outdoor adventure experience. My /ob assignment at $eling&ars institute of management is in place of main faculty, ) am conducting all these lectures and training sessions on behalf of Professor 'haruhas (oshi, $ho is core faculty for Experiential learning programs and !MDP section, and $ho is responsible for developing training modules "4",BET",#"M" and is also sub/ect expert for !MDP, ho$ever as he is incessantly busy $ith other commitments ) am currently handling all the training sessions and outbound programs on behalf of him. %hile it8s great being $or&ing $ith him as also he is good friend though senior to me in mountaineering +eld, he is also great human being, still some$here ) feel my 'reativity doesn8t +nd re9uisite vent. "s ) am not on the board of $eling&ars institute of management A ) also miss the status of being 'ore 4acultyB, lately so ) realiCed that $henever there is an opportunity for creative inputs, ) +nd myself on bac& foot as ) must route all the inputs through lo$er channels, and in an attempt to do so the 'reativity gets +ltered out and by the time it reaches higher authorities it8s too late for implementation. )f it is in the best interest of your college and its management stream, ) $ould li&e to explore an opportunity to A'reate similar !utdoor Management Development training module and Experiential learning Program ModuleB for Tha&ur 'ollege and run it successfully. -indly for$ard my $arm regards and $illingness to serve Tha&ur Management college, as ) am loo&ing for$ard to fresh setup to create the magic results of !MDP and EP programs, if this is implemented $holeheartedly it can carry a huge long term advantage to the college, only initiative re9uired by college is $illingness to experiment and greater <exibility and adaptability as far as !MDP and EP is concern.
