TECHNICAL SKILLS
Cell Biology
• Expert in developing and performing in vitro cell-based assays, including cell proliferation,
apoptosis, GFP reporter assays, ELISA assay, radiometric enzyme kinetic assay, embryonic
stem cell differentiation assay, alkaline phosphatase activity assay, and bDNA assay.
• Expert in vitro cell-based screens, including siRNA, small molecule compound and cDNA
library.
• Expert in vitro cell culture techniques; primary osteoblast cell isolation, retroviral production,
infection, and stable cell line generation.
• Familiar in immunstaining in both mouse tissue and living cell, and protein
immunoprecipitation.
• Experienced in HRP conjugated/purification, and in using guava flow cytometry.
Molecular Biology
• Extensive experience with modern techniques in molecular biology including: genetic gene
construction, conditional knock in /out mouse construction, transgenic construction, gene
switch transgenic system, gene recombination by using yeast system, artificial bacterial DNA
library screening and purification, targeting mouse ES cell selection, mouse tail genotyping.
• Expert in DNA, RNA isolation, PCR, Taqman-RCR, site –directed mutagenesis,
and subcloning DNA/fragment into expression vectors, and primer designing.
• Familiar with bioinformatics database: BLAST
Mouse Genetics
• Experienced in proficiency of transgenic mouse/ rat organ isolation, necropsy.
• Experienced in proficiency of mouse subcutaneous with retroviral mutagenesis tumor model.
Compute and Automation
• Extensive experience with Prism-graph, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis.
• Experience in Platemate plus; Biomek FX; Fluorometric Image Plate Reader.
